@password <old-password>=<new-password> |
Purpose
Allows a player to change their password.
Syntax
To change your password:
@password <old-password>=<new-password>
Parameters
<old-password>
- The player's current password they use for their account.
<new-password>
- The new password the player would like to set on their account.
Examples
Example 1
If Alkani wanted to change his existing password, "abc1234" to "def5678" he would type:
@password abc1234=def5678
If Alkani typed his old password correctly, he would see:
"Password changed."
If he did not, he would instead see:
"Sorry, old password did not match current password."
Caveats
Passwords for user accounts on the SpinDizzy MUCK System may not have spaces.
Wizards may change player passwords using the @newpassword command.
