The third mission into Chevesh's Tesseract was Corsa (as Personed Transport), Voksa, Niny'ah, Kobalt (Observing), Vahno, Amy, Thea, Kon-Iro Kitsune/Azure, with Chevesh using a Telepresence Drone and Mako observing via Chevesh's Telepresence.

Log begins while still in Patashu Industries, perspective Niny'ah:

Chevesh is certainly a magnet for lightning strikes, it seems. Far more than average. But then, she might be crazy enough to have turned off whatever protects her from power surges normally.
Amy parks the Lil Bitsy near the snack bar, and braves the horrible weather for something that looks amazing, sausage pizza
Niny'ah . o O ( Lil Bitsy? )
Emma yelps and slips and nearly falls at the disorientation and noise of the lightning strike... she ends up sitting down on the floor, in what's probably a slowly accumulating thin layer of rain-water. The few kobolds whose attention she'd managed to get promptly scurry away, pre-empted by other tasks (presumably, kobolds are currently swarming everywhere to carry out damage control in the sudden downpour.) "...well..." She is completely drenched at this point.
Mako gets some garlic bread, at that. She seems unbothered by the storm. Kind of cheating, possible. ..>
Chevesh perks up, her eyes dazzling with reflected light from Azure's display of mastery over lightning bolts. She drops off of Voksa's arm, and is about to bolt away, when she twists and rolls onto her back at the patting, quickly trying to clutch that paw in her arms and legs and hold it tight as she gnaws at it.
Emma takes a moment to just stare around, shielding her eyes and blinking away water and watching the lightning and the creatures darting around in it... she blinks at Azure. "...whoah, that's so cool..."
Mako says, "You hae a way with Lightning, Azure."
Voksa freezes when she rolls over, then grins and scoops her up! One paw to carry, and the other paw for chewing on. Sometimes that's just how it is with cats. They waddle on two legs over to Azure and sit down.
[OOC] Chevesh says, "I am planning on doing the Tesseract expedition part 3 in about a half hour, so it's possible I should have shown some small amount of restraint instead of spamming the 'storm' button."
[OOC] Voksa says, "bahaha"
[OOC] Patashu says, "nah"
Azure bends it a bit, making a few sparks flare into corona like green, wavering flowers, then sets it atop their head, looking not nearly as much like a circlet of flowers as they'd hope, but arguably better.
Azure grins, asking Mako, "Would you like one?"
Voksa says, "Woah! That's beautiful..."
Azure yips, "I'd be happy to make you one but I don't recommend touching it if you've not gone some inate protection."
Thea sort of ducks down, looking up at Azure. She reminds herself to not call Azure a deity and rather keeps quiet for now. A bit odd taking shelter under the thing that's self-coating in lightning, but, it works!
Emma can barely look Azure in the eye now. She blinkblinkblinks, attempting to clear away some of the dazzle, and considers attempting to sit up...
Emma trusts Azure to have electricity under control, to be honest. It's kind of their thing.
Chevesh seems considerably more content with something held against her to chew on, squirming in place as she's held and trying to bite from different directions... despite the fact that her teeth pose absolutely no threat to Voksa's structure. Her rumbling is somewhere between a rapid growl and a contented purr, paradoxically. She spasms a bit as they get near Azure, her eyes hanging wide open as she regards the crackling mass of lightning. Then she starts squirming as though to go touch it. Or perhaps try to catch it.
Mako says, "Protection I have. Remember who I'm descended from? ;p but I have nowhere to keep it right now, so thanks all the same."
Azure grins at Chevesh, ears twitching through the crackling mass of lightning. "Do you want to climb up and get it, or would you prefer..." They lower their hand to the ground, palm-up, wiggling their fingers, "Or the elevator?"
Somewhere on the muck, fluffy has connected.
Azure yips, "I guess the Challenge Course is also an option, though I probably shouldn't have too many damage-prone people around me if that's the case."
You say, "I should go get suited up for the expedition"
Niny'ah gets wrapped up with a synth suit in the form of a winged unicorn anthro.
Voksa tries to play along, making strange twitchy gestures like their paw is some caught creature! It's a lot like that strange fight against the glove in super smash bros. They look up at Azure and the crackling circlet, then back down at Chevesh, and up at Azure again. "Uh, are you sure about that? She's... Kinda zappable."
Thea ponders a moment. Ponders a moment more. Tucks her head in half-under her wings and starts crouch-walking about. She might not be lightning-proof, but she /is/ much more lightning /resistant/ than her previous form. At least, resistant in the electrical sense. She takes advantage of this to get a cinematic vantage to record Chevesh from.
Niny'ah gets the extended airtank installed, and the featherwings swapped out to the jetwings
Azure yips, "WELLllll. Judging from our previous interaction, filling her with energy doesn't really do any long term damage."
Voksa says, "Oh, good!"
Vahno says, "Hrm... I probably should get my suit on as well."
Chevesh does indeed squirm free after a moment. She only briefly looks at Azure's hand, her attention is pretty squarely on the lightning circlet. She bounds down and is off like a shot, leaping up to the side of Azure and trying to climb up their body the long way.
Azure grins and sits up a little straighter. Their fur might be a little slick and hard to grab onto, for roughly the same reasons why the lightning just beads and falls off/through it instead of soaking in, but it's certainly doable. They sit up still. Mostly. They seem to squirm a bit if their ribs or side are climbed over, perhaps being a touch ticklish. Up this close the tiny motions of breathing or adjusting posture seem rather grand.
Voksa lowers their wing-umbrella once Chevesh is off, and trots over to curl up against Azure. Antennas swivel to keep up with what she's doing up there!
Azure puts a paw over Voksa, rubbing over their back, "What a fine spaceship you are."
Thea skulks over to Voksa, and actually tries flapping her way up Voksa after a moment, to get a better vantage point.
Chevesh alternates parting thick blue fur around her muzzle as she scrambles up Azure's side, much like tall grass, and gripping and bounding up to clear the blue fluff and see where she's going. She does pause for a moment, climbing up the ribs, to prod at them experimentally... but she's on a mission, and doesn't linger long. At the dizzying heights of Azure's shoulder, making good time, she bounds toward the crackling caged storm, discarding bits of burned fur from the earlier strikes as she goes.
Voksa chirps and lifts their head, looking around, then straight up! "What a fantastical fox you are!"
Ping returns from a bit of idle.
Azure grins and holds their head still so she can make the jump. Landing on top of their head, the leopard would find herself standing in thick, shining fur, the lighting of everything washed too blow, too bright, and too contrasty, the tangled bolts of lightning surround her like a particularly ornate fence, with flowers of aurorae and purplish coronal glow accenting the searingly bright strands.
Ping oos.
Voksa . o O ( woahhh... )
Ping:grins at Azure.
Azure . o O ( I half wonder if she's just going to try to bite the thing, or going to try to carry it off. )
Mako ooh. She suspects we shall find!
Thea takes off, flying up despite the weather to get a recording of this. The wind buffeting her around makes it a bit difficult, but she tracks as well as she can!
Chevesh slows down and pauses, her sides heaving a bit in simulated heavy breath as her head twitches around, following the arcing electricity that's surrounded her. Her expression would almost appear panicked, if anyone wasn't already aware of her instantaneous obsession with lightning when she sees it. But something about the surprisingly otherworldly environment of this high, densely furred summit gives her pause, as though changing her perspective on what she's seeing in an unexpected way. She ducks her head low, twitching around and hesitantly rushing toward the lightning before pausing, in multiple directions, then lets out a low whining cry from deep in her throat.
Amy is actually surprised Chev didn't bite the lightning.
Mako oh dear. "I suspect she has a case of overstimulus. o.o"
Azure's ears perk, probably an impressive sight from Chevesh's point of view and swivel, focusing inward on the whining cry. They reach up, offering their hand, touching two fingers down next to her, tilted at a low angle like a ramp, to allow an easy slimb up and out of the lightning fence if she should want to take it.
Somewhere on the muck, Rielle has connected.
Kobalt nods to Mako.
Rielle has teleported in.
Rielle has arrived.
Rielle appears out of thin air with a sharp -CRACK-.
Chevesh seems to be getting startled by each buzz and spark of the lightning ring, eyes wide and staring around at it as she huffs repeatedly with heavy breaths. Her fur rises and falls down her body in waves, and her skin twitches as it contracts and relaxes in a twitchy manner. With her mouth open and huffing, she barely registers Azure's fingers until a moment after they've settled, jumping in place when she faces them, and hissing, "Aushtear esht Nosteme'urra amin adrastai-ka!" In a weak voice. But she pants for a few moments afterward, making a decision, and leaps up Azure's hand, clinging to it.
fluffy snugs Rielle, from afar!
Rielle says, "What's new and exciting?""
Patashu rumbles, "It's raining!"
Ping hides behind something, watching Chevesh and Azure intently.
Patashu rumbles, "(Indoors, yes.)"
Rielle glances around, nonplussed. "Sounds like a typical Saturday night, yeah."
Azure lifts their hand, careful to keep it level, then bring it down to rest on their knee. They carefully rest their other hand overtop it, fingers curved, so Chevesh either has a dark 'cave' of sorts to retreat into, or can slip away and hop down onto the ground as she prefers.
You say, "Rielle! we're in the run-up to the third Tesseract dive"
Thea is flying about, recording Chevesh's antics from above! Despite the rain, and lightning. But c'mon, cat videos! D'awww! ... KRAK! ... She's only briefly on fire thankfully, ungracefully tumbling to crash down in the corner over there.
[OOC] Emma says, "...oh, the tesseract dive! I am smart and I managed to need to go for food right at this time. x.x"
Rielle says, "I see, could I get a little bit of context, I think I missed the first two... and also the description of what that was."
[OOC] Emma says, "Hopefully I can at least watch."
Mako helpfully goes to douse Thea and see if she's alright.
Chevesh remains in the shelter of the dark, padding around in a circle for a few moments with a twitchy gait, then curls up in the dark, heaving for a little while.
[OOC] Niny'ah says, "can someone else do it, my brain just went 'pluh' for Words"
Amy twitch. "Thea!" Jumping out of the Bitsy and running over to that smoking crash landing. That didn't look good.
[OOC] Chevesh says, "No problem, Emma. If you're only going to be gone for a little bit, we could wait for a few minutes."
Azure leans down, peeks into the space under their hand, whispering softly, "Feeling okay?" Their breath smells a bit of ozone and petrichor, too.
Thea doesn't seem to be moving at all! There's the scent of scorched dust and hot plastic, but, despite steam and a brief bit of flame, her plastic is oddly unmelted. Thank the durability field for that! It takes a few moments for temperatures and charges to return to sane levels, but once they do, there's a click, a brief whirring, then after a moment, motion. She looks around slowly, dizzily, mumbling quietly. "Whatever I did, it was dumb, wasn't it?"
Mako says, "Yes, yes it was. You went flying in a lighting storm. Did you short out for a moment? all systems okay?"
[OOC] Emma says, "I'm ... might take like, half an hour or so, I'm not sure. And don't have my dragon thing ready. Perhaps I can just watch OOC this time or like... ICly through some kind of proxy?"
Chevesh calms down pretty quickly, and nods to Azure, curled up under their paw. "Yeah." She says a little breathily. "Just a little over-excited. Not even sure where my thoughts were going." Her ear perks up, hearing the goings-on outside, and pads over to peek her head out and look. "Is everything okay down there?" She asks to the people gathered around Thea.
[OOC] Patashu says, "you can ICly take a drone in"
[OOC] Amy says, "Sne can come in the Bitsy if you want."
[OOC] Emma oh! I think she'd like that, if offered.
[OOC] Emma says, "Sorry to be all weird and unprepared like this. >.<"
Amy says, "You brought an umbrella gryphon to a lightning fight."
[OOC] Chevesh says, "Whatever you decide, Emma, I'm cool with it. You can even jump in after we've started and still be IC if you want, there are options available, but whatever you're comfortable with. You're welcome to watch OOCly if that's what you prefer."
Azure lifts their fingers a little to make peeking out easier, "I think she crashed into something while trying to take pictures."
[OOC] Mako will spectate due to divine allergies. She reserves the right to peanut gallery, however. :P
[OOC] Emma will see! Perhaps to mainly spectate for now -- hopefully she can follow someone about in case inopportune AFK.
Corsa has teleported in.
Corsa has arrived.
[OOC] Chevesh says, "I like you, Mako. I would be happy to have you peanut gallery. I didn't realize the divine allergy thing would wind up excluding anyone."
Amy says, "Hey Emma, if your dragon's not ready, you can come with me in the Bitsy."
Vahno says, "Wanna come along Rielle?"
Chevesh nods, and glances up, nosebumping against Azure's massive snout.
[OOC] Mako says, "No worries, I have an Idea(tm) for later. >:3"
Emma perks! "...ooh? I submitted it earlier, but they're taking a little while..." She pads over towards Amy's vehicle, blinking at it (and is still soaking wet from all the rain, whoops.) "Did you make this?"
[OOC] Emma says to Chevesh, "Also, you're a good writer."
Azure grins and pets over the top of Chevesh's head with the tip of their ring-finger.
Azure yips, "I should probably not be quite as big if I'm going to go inside someone else."
Amy says, "instant vehicle, just add immoltion. This one's more stable, I expect it to stay rock soli at least a week"
Thea pauses briefly, recalling. Looks to Amy, Mako. "If it weren't for the durability field, I would've lost my magic smoke. And a lot of other smoke. Thankfully we were here." She sits up. "And thank you both for rushing over." She grins briefly. "I just need a moment to remember who I am and what I'm doing today." She says with a bit of intentional waver.
[OOC] Chevesh says, "Oh, thank you! That means a lot to me. Sometimes writing feels like the only thing I'm personally invested in. So I take that praise to heart."
Featherwing has teleported in.
Featherwing has arrived.
Azure drops Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!!.
Amy returns to the hatch on the bottom of the Bitsy. Passing kobolds offer towels.
Azure reaches into their fur and pulls out a giant mechanical kitsune with their free hand, setting them down on the ground and petting them softly.
Voksa says, "Hi Kitsune!"
Patashu swaps bodies.
Patashu transforms into an anthro dragon synth.
Voksa . o O ( Were they in there this whole time?? )
Niny'ah . o O ( always know where your towel is )
Featherwing pads in, flops onna cushion. Lazysqsh.
Chevesh bounds off of Azure's paw, intuiting that they're going to need to be free to move around shortly. She glances up, and nods to Corsa, rumbling, "I guess that time is approaching again, huh?"
Corsa says, "That is up to you, but I wouldn't like to defer your maintenance too much longer."
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! trots over and bows to Voksa, "Dragon." Then to Corsa, "And dragon. Transit and companions." To Chevesh, "Destination." And the others, "Fellow travelers."
Corsa clasps forepaws together and bows their head down.
Niny'ah tips her head in greeting. "Kon-Iro. You're prepared for tonight's expedition?"
You say, "What's our target this time?"
Patashu rumbles, "I believe the auto-repair systems."
Featherwing cleans up his inbox on his Pad.
Voksa says, "So we can remove the war-machine schematics, and enable healing again."
Thea after enough listening around, reloads all of her thoughts for today, and after a bit of pondering, skulks over to do some cleanup.
Thea activates the Weather Machine! Suddenly, the statue races with purple pulses of lightning down its body, making the surrounding air tingle! The weather machine powers down, and the sky clears up.
Emma blinks again, "...hopefully. Wouldn't want it to break down on the other side of the Tesseract..." She is almost immediately covered in towels, and she emerges after some minutes, mostly dry -- she had to get a kobold to bring her alternate clothes, so she's simply wearing a black T-shirt and jeans for now, which is not particularly her usual setup, but at least is not wet. She hesitantly peers out of the towels for a moment, and then crawls out and shakes herself out -- helpful kobolds swarm about for a moment, picking up the towels and wet clothes. She blinks and looks up at the Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune, blinking, "...oh, hi..." And then sneaks over and tries to worm into Amy's vehicle.
Voksa says, "Specifically, there's a warbot activation tower that we have to disable."
Chevesh rumbles and pads over to Thea, headbumping her with a wet squish of soggy fur.
Mecha-Kon-Iro-Kitsune!!! says, "I am always prepared."
Azure offers Chevesh a towel.
Chevesh grins, and takes the towel... she holds it in her mouth as she ducks down and shakes her fur out vigorously. Then tosses it up to land draped over her shoulders.
Thea looks to Chevesh. Grins briefly, reaching down to petpet on Chevesh. "Fun? I actually saved the video up until I got KO'd."
Amy's vehicle kind of looks like a submarine inside, with lots of wiring and cranks and lenses, though the bulkheads look like polished granite.
Azure stands and gives themself a vigorous shake, spraying water everywhere and ending up completely dry.
Thea well, reaches over anyway.
Emma murmurs, looking about, "...oooh. I'm guessing I'd best not touch anything?" ... "How long did this take to build, anyways?"
Chevesh laughs at Thea. "I didn't see it... I was a little distracted. But it sounded like fun... yeah, I had a blast in the storm just now. It makes me excited."
Mako grins. "If you want a storm give me a call later. I can oblige."
Emma sniffsniffsniffs... usually, on entering a vehicle of this sort, it smells different than the outside world, being isolated from various misfortunes.
Chevesh sighs amusedly, and nods. "I always want a storm. I have a problem."
Somewhere on the muck, Jaxen has connected.
Azure yips, "THAT doesn't sound like a problem."
Azure yips, "THAT sounds like if I actually build the Quodlibet National Tornado Preserve"
Azure yips, "i might not be the only visitor."
Amy's bitsy has two seats, pilit and copilot, or perhaps cocaptain given the naval theme. "I took my time builing this one. Two hours, with a bit of kobold help. Keep your hands away from those three big handles, the rest should be negotiable. I can probabyl teach you to drive it if you want
Mako says, "... tornado preserve? o.o"
Chevesh shakes her head to Azure. "NO, no... you wouldn't. I would probably try to live there."
Azure takes the lightning wreath off their head and just pulls it into themself through their fingertips, not even ending up with their fur frizzed.
Azure nods to Mako, "Everybody likes bad weather around here."
Azure yips, "Sunny, cloudless, mildly overcast, blah blah blah blah blah"
Azure yips, "Since I'm out voted I can at least put something better in a defined locale where it won't bother people."
Chevesh bounds back over toward Corsa, and noses at them. Then she sits down, and looks around at the room. "Is everybody ready?" She asks, without preamble.
Patashu salutes. "Ready."
Vahno says, "You want a nice, big lightning storm, right Azure?"
Voksa says, "Bah. Give me hail and howling wind any day!"
Mako says, "I mean, I'm biased. I like a good rainstorm."
Emma settles into the less-imposing seat, that is, the copilot one, after staring around curiously for a little while. "I mean, I don't think driving lessons on a toxic otherworldly planet sound like a /great/ idea... maybe another time, if you wanted to?" ... "Honestly, this is really nice."
Vahno says, "...Admittedly, a nice big storm does feel nice, oddly enough."
Chevesh's eyes sparkle as she casts them toward an empty part of the room, tapping her tailtip on the floor. "A hurricane... with lightning striking right through the middle, repeatedly... or maybe one of those volcanic clouds that crawls with electricity... "
Corsa reaches forepaws out to make a triangle with their fingers and thumbs, a door to interior cargo bays appearing! "...I have installed chairs."
Thea says, "I'll give you the video later." Then looks to Azure, joining the group. "I'd probably visit too. With a spare body maybe. Best flying practice, after all." Then about. "Ready as I will be!"
Azure grins, "If you like a good rainstorm, why don't you let any of the raindrops hit you?"
Mako says, "I can if I want to~. But I like watching one. :P"
Azure yips, "Oh, that sounds rather nice."
Azure stands up straight, wagging their tail.
Azure yips, "I'm..."
Azure looks down at themself.
Azure gets smaller

Corsa says, "Please keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times. Wait, why am I supposed to say that, everyone's going to get off later..."
Corsa says, "Ready to go?"
Amy says, "That's true on airplanes too corsa!"
A stack of kobolds, one balancing on top of the other, are carefully adjusting themselves to reach something in a high place. Another kobold is helpfully offering a stepladder.
Azure says, "Ready!"
Mecha-Kon-Iro-Kitsune!!! says, "Ready"
Thea settles down, snuggling in her wings. "Thanks for the ride, Corsa."
Amy puts the bitsy into stowage configuration, legs folded. "ready"

[Chevesh's Tesseract] The Toxic Sky

It would certainly be useful, right now, if you had no need to breath... or life-support equipment to compensate. Because the atmosphere you find yourself in is choked with toxic chemicals that blister skin and sear the lungs and throat, making suriviving in this awful place nigh-impossible for any unprepared organic being.
Upon first arriving, you begin in the sky, far above the corpse of a large rocky moon. Many smaller chunks that used to be part of the whole drift nearby, and the moon itself seems to have been gutted, deep visible swaths of its interior volume scooped out and replaced with tiered floors that go on literally for kilometers square, like the levels of a warehouse or parking garage. Evenly-spaced geometric structures have manifested across almost every square foot of the surface area, erupting from one another like barnacles or mechanical fungii, layers built upon layers.
Across the northern hemisphere of the planet, the gasses that may be threatening to choke you now can be seen billowing slowly from a pair of smokestacks that erupt into the sky around the planet, seemingly impossibly long and thin, easy to snap under their own weight. But they are not alone. They erupt among a veritable forest of pipes and chimneys, all the rest of which issue no smoke forth, gone dead and silent now. Were this a normal moon in normal space, those chimneys would easily reach into a stable orbit.
You fall beside a massive tower, slowly, the gravity here seeming almost nonexistent. It juts out of the center of the moon, in your direction, high into upper orbit. The top of it glows faintly, pulses of power rising up the impossible mast and disappearing at its point. Large toothed rails also extend up the length of this mast, following its sides, seeming designed to rotate like conveyor belts, to carry something... somewhere. Should you go and check, you will find the space at the tip of this tower completely normal and providing no exit back the way you came. At least, not now. Not for anything physical. It is good that the moon does not seem to move or rotate. It would be easy to imagine that the slightest shift in momentum would snap this tower free from the stellar body without any effort at all.
The sky in which you and this planet float is dark and unlit from any exterior source. The only light in this dim place comes from the moon itself, the many bright lights that dot its surface projecting into a seemingly infinite whorling cloud of brown and yellow smoke, fogging your view of anything but the moon at any great distance. The... environment, here, feels strange in many other ways. It is difficult to put your finger on exactly why, but the effects of gravity on your body feel wrong somehow. Sound doesn't travel quite right. And, until you have taken time to adapt to it, distance and perspective feel off, the result of experiencing the world through three dimensions as normal... but asking your brain to process it through dimensions that do not exactly function as the ones you are used to, in ways it would be difficult to explain without an exterior perspective looking in. Your very frame of reference is subtly alien, after all.
From here, gravity will pull you down to the moon's surface, eventually. Though very slowly. You can also grasp the tower nearby easily, and climb down under your own power.

[Chevesh's Tesseract] Base of the Ejection Tower

The surface you find yourself on is not regolith, but a dust-strewn metal plate of some large complex poking out of the surface of the moon. Having gotten a good look from above, you know that this area spans what you could guess to be 700km x 500km, and there are many segments that intersect with eachother to present higher or lower portions of the ground. You are currently at one edge of the entire complex, and can see the strangely smooth and unmarred lunar surface just to your west.
The Ejection Tower looms far above you, disappearing kilometers into the impenetrable gloom of the yellow-brown clouds. Seeming impossibly slender for its impressive height, it resembles a needle disappearing into the sky, lit with powered rails and crackling electricity and surges from the base to the sky above, causing rumblings of artificial thunder within the clouds, and disappearing. This is the connection to the outside world in the dimensions you came from, though, the apeture may wisely remain closed for all but specific uses.
Just south of the Ejection Tower, a smooth cone-topped tower rises from the dust off the edge of the metal platform, projecting only five meters above ground level, and with a ladder built into its side that reaches the top and is also covered by the ground below. If you wished to, you could easily climb to the top and explore what this structure is.
To your immediate east, the signs of battle can be seen. This is also the direction of the immense flat storage yards upon which, even from here, you can see the outlines of distant warbots resting among its many floors. And between you and them, the scars and melted, twisted slag of weapons-fire impacts upon the metal plates, and an immense semi-circular wall of twisted, misshapen robot bodies, the trailing end of which stretches north from there.
To the north, over the edge of the nearby lunar horizon, you spot the immense smokestacks... all of which seem dormant. And nearer you than that, one of many large, roughly rectangular structures moulded up out of the surrounding metal, towering like a series of immense aircraft hangars in the distance. Brighter, newer-seeming structures that seem very out of place arise before reaching that far.
The rails of the Ejection Tower, running down the sides of it, bend outward at the base here. One of them stretches north, toward the distant factories, while the other three... representing the other sides of the tower... terminate in large flat pads, with long struts that seem designed to lift up and shift whatever rests upon them onto the rails, and send it shooting up toward the distant point of the tower.

[Chevesh's Tesseract] The Scars of Battle

A large battle seems to have happened, here... or if not a large one, then certainly a hard-fought one. Lines of [blastmarks] and gouges in metal scar the surfaces around you in sweeping lines, and several [holes] have been neatly cut into the metal surface on which you stand nearer to your side of the imaginary battle that must have happened here, leaving dangerous open hazards.
Standing between you and the storage yards beyond, a pile of [destroyed robots] reaches over eight feet in height, forming a crescent angled inward toward you at the edges. It spills over into the area in front of you, as well, forming not a neat line of carnage, but a littered battlefield.
Toward the north, near the factory outskirts, you can see the scarred features of a short tower set upon the surface. To the east, beyond the battle lines, is the beginning of the storage yards. And to your west is the dominating feature of the Ejection Tower.

Vahno says, "Woah..."
Thea gestures to Jiyu, Fellmasque. "Corpse, and loot."
Patashu rumbles, "Okay, they stacked them up high. Check out the pile."
Voksa says, "Oh no."
The blade is pitted and damaged a bit, beyond the description. But it has held up surprisingly well, still. Suspiciously well. So has some of the corpse's remaining equipment.
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! trots over, crouches down and stares down into one of the holes, "What is all that fluid for, I wonder?"
Niny'ah wow-whistles
Many of the blastmarks that line the floor and the bodies of the machines seem to have been from some kind of small armour-piercing explosive projectile... but the way they describe erratic lines across surfaces speaks of a weapon with an extremely high rate of fire. There are much larger holes burned into surfaces nearby as well, from obviously much larger projectiles... likely missiles of some kind. Whoever stood their ground here, they did so with an impressive, if by SpinDizzy standards primitive, arsenal at their disposal. There are even neat, scorched holes through machines and floorplates that could have been the result of some high-power projectile traveling at an extremely fast rate. It could easily be indicative of some manner of portable railgun, though its marks do not speak of a high rate of fire. They seem more aimed and precise.
Voksa . o O ( Aw, there's no exit "down". )
These holes measure, on average, between one and two meters across. They pepper the battlefield, with very neatly cut edges, having sliced through two feet of solid metal below your feet. And all of them seem to be on the defender's side of the battlefield, opposite the robot remains. There are marks from other bizarre weapons as well, such as portions of the metal surface that seem to have been pulled up into a peak, splitting off into a webwork of jagged, radial edges that gradually merge into the floor, as if the metal had been softened and pulled upward, then frozen in that position. Multiple jagged blastmarks as well, with searing lines that spiral out from a central impact, in whorls. But the holes themselves lead into a toxic-looking cloud of gas held in a chamber below your feet, and absently kicked debris that falls inside will eventually send a splashing sound back to your ears... as well as a sizzling sound, as of a chemical reaction taking place, and not a friendly-sounding one.
Amy says, "I think the stuff at the bottom is ... more atmosphere. or perhaps 'rain'."
OOC: There is not, but I could spoof it for you. There are already 24 rooms in here, at some point I just said 'that's enough for now, maybe I'll add to it later.'
Corsa will open doors on request. The direct adjacency between scarred battlefield and awkwardly-interposed clean spaceship interior is a strange one.
[OOC] Voksa says, "bahaha, it's probably reasonable to not have "exit into acid pit"."
Niny'ah hops out of Corsa, to go inspect one of the twisted'craters' "Ok, now THAT is a weird one."

ooc: Maybe not usually! Just saying I'm here to carry on further and no directions are meta-locked from exploration if you really want to.
Thea eyes the bots. "And those... look like they were arc welded together?
[OOC] Niny'ah says, "Chev, are you Telepresence with a drone today?"
Voksa emerges into the open air! Their metal shell is promptly eaten away, the wax underneath is unbothered. They promptly stick their head down a hole to look around in the underground.
Thea, if we're able to hop out, would egress to do the obvious thing.
OOC: OH! I didn't think about it... is it okay if I retcon that I am?
[OOC] Voksa says, "Totally, yeah, that'd be a reasonable assumption"
[OOC] Niny'ah says, "I have no objection either"
Thea looks over Jiyu. Has no real way to conveniently carry it though, though she's quite careful with it. "Very impressive. Might still even be good for use with some shining up."
I don't see that here.

Jiyu is a blade in the modernized style of a nodachi. Measuring from the guard, the blade is nearly an impressive five feet in length, with another two and a half feet of pommel to allow for a wide grip and leverage, as well as an easier time maneuvering the blade around at such a length.
The gently curving blade comes not to a point at the tip, but to a slightly rounded chisel-like tip, leaving the spine of the blade flat almost all the way up to the end. Its sides are acid-etched to multiple depths, for a scene of rushing water, waves, and fish, in a classical and highly stylized manner that emphasizes curling and gently sweeping lines. The material of the blade is nearly pure tungsten, which would normally make it much heavier than it feels in one's hands, as well as brittle. However, it has been layered at an incredibly fine level with a weave of custom-designed carbon lattices at the molecular scale, layering the metal crystal structure and carbon in a way that reduces its weight and adds flexibility, while keeping the material's impressive hardness... though it is still noticably heavier than it would be if made out of common steel.
The edge is honed down to nearly a monomolecular level, the sort of blade that could give you a cut down to the bone that wouldn't even hurt for the first few seconds. But the real destructive potential of the blade originates in its hilt: a state-of-the-art force-field projector, along with a high power-density battery pack normally used for high-end energy rifles. Upon command, the blade can be sheathed in a field of resonant matter repulsion force, traveling along the projectors inlaid along the spine of the weapon and projected out a few inches on either side of the blade. Once it bites into something, those repulsion fields act to rip the wound open by pressing outward on either side.
Considering the ridiculous degree of experimental engineering put into this weapon, its value must be multiple times that of a large spaceship, and perhaps even equal to a lifetime of earned and inherited wealth poured into a single, personal obsession.

Amy isn't going to scavenge here.
The chamber Voksa peers into is massive, but it does have walls within view. The ones they can see are blackened by metal that has already reacted with flourine compounds, leaving them protected by that film from the liquid within. There are massive pipes visible just below the liquid level, leading to other chambers.
Somewhere on the muck, Sirianna has disconnected.
Chevesh's drone hovers around, and comes to a halt over Mask's body, turning the camera down and staring at it for a while silently.
Voksa says, "Oh! Good. It's part of an interior. I was worried the planet was hollow and filled with -nothing but acid-."
You say, "Whatcha find, Thea-Woahhhhh."
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! stands over the robots, giving a moment of silence and bowing their head before looking around the battlefield in more detail
Niny'ah's suit provides some insights, but not All the juicy details but she can definitely see it's an Experimental Elite weapon
Amy says, "...So some chamber was breached and corrupted the atmosphere? That explains a bit."
Somewhere on the muck, Ping has disconnected.
Corsa drifts up behind Chevesh's drone. "Shall we recover their remains?"
OOC: I don't remember anything about Mask's sword, just that it was high-tech and fancy as hell, and he loved it. I just recreated something in its place, hopefully he would have been proud of my attempt.
Lying here are the almost completely dissolved remains of what might have, at one point, been an anthro canine. An elongated breath mask and hood, along with a primitive environment suit, seem to have preserved their remains at least somewhat, but even these materials have gradually suffered under the caustic effects of the atmosphere... particularly lying on the ground, where the brownish fog collects more densely. The nametag on the suit reads 'Fellmasque,' and written below that in permanent ink, the hand-written word 'Mask.' On closer inspection, their environment suit is not as intact as it seemed at first, as whatever blow killed them severed their spine right above the hips and must have nearly torn their body in half, leaving scorchmarks and melted synthetic materials behind. They lie near to the crescent of destroyed robots, somewhere in the middle, seemingly having been closer to the battle-lines... and among them... then one might expect.
Thea follows the group over, looking down. Would also show Jiyu to Niny'ah if she wishes. (l thea's jiyu) Though otherwise, she looks down. Are there just pipes going through, or are their spouts/inlets draining the acid (or producing it)?
Vahno says, "We... should maybe take the body for a burial?"
Niny'ah mm. "There's not much to collect and I think just touching them might make them fall to dust."
Thea says, "I don't think we're equipped for corpse hauling. Though, we could run back and get a bag."
Thea looks to Niny'ah. "That too."
Chevy's drone turns in place to regard Corsa, then responds, "Yes... I'd like to give him a proper burial." She pauses for a moment, turning back down to regard the corpse. "He was an asshole, honestly. Bigoted, full of himself... but at the end of the day, he always pulled through, and he was never too good to put his life on the line for what's right. Even if he could have been a little more polite about it."
You say, "we could put up a Cairn for now. not on top of, but around"
Corsa says, "It'"
[OOC] Corsa says, "Oops."
Corsa says, "It's okay. I can pick up without touching."
Patashu nods solemnly at Chevy's words. "Corsa's good at manipulating space - depending on how it works, might be the lightest touch."
You say, "Might have to take a layer of the surface with, to avoid jostling"
Thea: There are no pipes entering the empty space, but there are machined holes flush with the sides of the chamber that lead to presumably other chambers, or networks. There is no material flow apparent through the pipes currently, but they are below the liquid surface.
Thea looks to Corsa. Nods.
Thea asides, "Some of those pipes might be collecting the acid. Or producing it. Or that might be dead network. Maybe we'll see when we go down later.
Vahno says, "Be careful Corsa."
Chevy: "Thanks. This was one of the things I was looking forward to. Pulling him out of here finally, and giving him a respectful rest."
Somewhere on the muck, Beltrami has connected.
Niny'ah fiddles with something from a utility pouch. "I had a Hunch, so I spun up a little something." it's a PI holoprojector and a smaller version of the wireless trickle-charger from the scavenged bot we grabbed before. It should get just enough power to keep the holo running indefinitely. The holo is a pair of boots, a combat rifle with bayonet, and combat helmet, with the rifle stabbed into the ground. On the helmet is written, "here fell Mask, doing what was right."
Corsa carefully flattens out space to free what's left of Fellmasque from gravity. They open a door through their hand, sweeping them out of the air. With hidden solemnity, one of their previously-empty holds is relabeled a morgue.
You page, "writing that actually brought me to tears <.<'''" to Chevesh.
Some of the surface will have to come away along with the skeleton if it's to be moved. It's... attached, at this point, by a film of burned and dissolved bone and other material. Niny's holoprojector will have no difficulty tapping into the free broadcast power. Chevy's drone camera whirrs around to regard it, and she says, "That's a beautiful thing. I'm certain he would have appreciated it."
Amy says, "That's touching, Niny."
You say, "I didn't have any pictures from your datapad records, so I went with a fairly common memorial design."
OOC: To get an idea for Mask as a character: He was the stereotypical anime OC, haughty and dismissive, 'nothing personal kid.' XD I find it funny. His PLAYER went on to create much more interesting characters though, and he was a decent friend.
Corsa puts space in some extremely not-flat shapes to cleave a thin sheet of metal terrain out from under the suit. Close enough!
Voksa says, "I think that's the warbot activation tower up to the north."
<page 8:00pm> Chevesh pages, "I'm glad. It was meant to be touching. Even though I'm ruining it a little bit. I am actually deeply moved." to you.
Niny'ah places the memorial holo on the neatly-cut-out area of the surface, and steps back, nodding at Chev's drone
Thea shows the sword. "I think he was more a melee type." Also, returns to Corsa to store said sword out of the way for now.
Corsa, fortunately, already has an armory! No rooms need relabeling. All is well.
Chevy: "I think it's beautiful, Niny. It says what's important. He went down fighting for a good cause, and all these years later, he is remembered."
[OOC] Vahno says, "Kinda wondering if you've kept in contact with him."
OOC: No. I've lost touch with a lot of friends. Including everyone who was part of this RP. It was so long ago that not all of the people from that datapad were even the right people... I completely forgot who a couple of them were, only vague memories. So I replaced those ones with other dear friends I've had along the way.
Niny'ah gestures to the carnage strewn around the spot, much of it probably with evidence of the high-tech melee strikes of a blade such as Jiyu. "He sold it dearly, that's for damn-sure."
OOC: Trance got @toaded. Noko hasn't been online in about eight years.
[OOC] Patashu says, "brb, father's day lunch"
[OOC] Emma says, "I missed Jiyu's description I think >..<"
[OOC] Niny'ah says, "Thea's holding it"
[OOC] Emma says, "oh, okay"
Amy says, "Anything else?"
[OOC] Emma says, "Honestly, it should be given back to Chevesh."
Chevy's drone can't really nod or gesture. Only her voice comes through, but she sounds sad. "He did." She agrees. "And it wasn't for naught, either. He willingly made himself a target to give the others room to breathe as they fell back to the control tower... for as long as his shield generator held out."
Niny'ah gets a closer look at the melee damage. "Sharp blade and then... Blunt damage from inside the cut? That's gotta be one wild blade."
[OOC] Niny'ah says, "I'm picturing, knife-cut entry and then the cut widens in a tearing sort of way of overstressed metal"
Niny'ah thinks Chev probably has enough practice that she can dip or waggle the drone, at least in a basic way
Emma peers out quietly from Amy's vehicle (the Bitsy mk2, right?), quiet. Just ... taking in the scene. It's a lot.
[OOC] Emma says, "Also: The sword is pretty."
OOC: That sounds about right. Repulsor fields running the length of the blade, pushing outward from the flat on either side as it slides through the target. I don't remember if that's exactly how his sword used to work. I just recall it costing as much as any of our spaceships.
[OOC] Niny'ah says, "it's a heck of a design concept and well suited to Vs Mechs"
[OOC] Mako says, "This is tingling a memory...."
Voksa says, "It's good to finally get a look at the underground. Should we head north?"
OOC: Mako, you're not gonna tell me you were part of this plot back in the day? That would be amazing.
Somewhere on the muck, Rielle has disconnected.
[OOC] Mako says, "I don't think so, but one of those names triggers a memory, and so does the sword."
[OOC] Vahno says, "...huh."
[OOC] Emma says, "o.o"
Chevy's drone hovers over the memorial for a few more moments, then drifts back up and turns its camera around the environment. "North? That is where the carnage seems to be drawn."
[OOC] Emma tries to peek at the memoy, always the intrusively curious one.
Thea nods to Voksa, rejoining Corsa. "I think we have all we can get for now."
Corsa opens the doors for re-boarding. Heading that way!

[Chevesh's Tesseract] Control Tower

A squat, four-meter-tall building emerges from the ravaged landscape here, with a short ramp that leads to a depressed floor. A short post rises from the top, ending in a splay of thinner wires extending outward. However, while it once extended through the roof and into the room below, it has been blasted apart inside that room and now ends in a mangle of twisted, broken metal.
There is no door, so you can see inside fairly well, and hear a faint humming from inside. A short structure once stood inside this space, which is scarred and blasted, bits of the surrounding walls pitted and bent. But now, all that is left is a ruined mangle of scrap jutting raggedly from the floor, filled with the ends of shiny electricity-carrying circuitry that was once incorporated directly into the solid metal structure, and extend below into the floor. Some combination of gunfire and a violent explosion happened here, at some point in the past.
To your east, you can see the outskirts of the factory, and some white plastic-looking buildings that appear out of place. To your south lies the wreckage of a battlefield, that extends in this direction, multiple scrapped and mangled robots lying on the ground nearby.

This large, bulky, and rather beaten and scratched-up weapon most resembles a minigun, in that it is designed as an efficient transport method for an array of six spinning rotary barrels. Its main body is blocky and quite heavy, complete with a synthetic fiber shoulder-strap, and a pair of handles. One far back at the heaviest part of the weapon, in front of a brace through which one might slip their arm to spread the burden, a vertical ergonomically-shaped grip like a flight stick almost, with a large red trigger on the front. The second handle is a horizontal bar further forward, for help from the user's other hand in lifting and carrying it around.
However, unlike a more traditional minigun, this weapon's spinning barrels seem to extend all the way through the body of the weapon, emerging from the back to present the barrels with unobstructed openings at both ends. It has an opening that is obviously meant to be belt-fed, judging from the drum-shaped metal canister that clips onto the side of it, which is currently detached and discarded nearby. Each barrel has an opening cut out of the top and following edge to accept whatever was meant to be pushed into them, likely a self-propelled round of some kind, and not very large. The interior of the barrels have a differentiated contact point on them, that might be an electrode for triggering such munitions when they touch it.
The weapon has been highly customized, sporting what, at one time, might have been a protective paint meant to defy acid and rust. You can still make out hints of the clashing purple, reds and blues that once covered it, barely able to convey the garish flames that once spread backward along the barrels. A multitude of badly corroded and hard to make out puffy stickers are slapped haphazardly over the main body of it, most of them shriveled and peeling off. But, along the outside edge of it, the faded paintjob can barely be read to spell out the ghostly letters of the name 'BETTY,' next to a vaguely humanoid shape that is too damaged to make out any details of any longer.
Most noteworthy of all, a hard plastic case has been haphazardly taped to the side with an abundance of disintegrating adhesive strips, and wires lead from it, to slide under the bottom of the trigger handle's grip. If the 'Betty's Trigger' is depressed, it will still cause the device to come to life.

Chevy: "Sort of? Not really... I can't really feel them, directly. I can't feel any of this directly. But this... this might be the thing they came here to destroy."
Amy says, "It looks like it was built like a tank. It's still got power feeding into it, but it's dead."
[OOC] Voksa says, "Back, situation resolved faster than I thought."
Voksa says, "I'm fairly certain this is what they came in here to destroy."
Voksa says, "The warbots don't cause damage like this!"
Voksa says, "Oh! Is that a recoilless minigun? Creative."
You say, "Chev, you said something about a rotary gun? I think we found it."
Amy says, "Chev, what should we do here? I'm leery of disturbing this place."
Thea retrieves that gun to add to the armory...
Thea afterwards, wanders into the building to have a closer look at the ruined circuitry. "I wonder if the repair circuits are hardwired?"
Thea checks to see if there might be still-active data connections about.
Chevy's drone drifts over, and peers at the weapon. "Oh... yeah. This was one of Trance's guns." She replies. "It spat out, sort of rockets, really quickly." The camera swivels around to look at Amy. "Uhm... if this is the thing that activates the warbots, I'd like to have it clamped down somehow, if possible. So it can't be repaired anymore, and turn them on. Then I could activate my maintenance system without worry."
Mako may be peering over Chev's shoulder. "That looks like one heck of a weapon. Like a bolter but bigger... whooo...."
You say, "Rotary rocets"
Vahno says, "Rockets? A... Rocket firing minigun?"
Voksa says, "Woah."
You say, "Wild."
Patashu rumbles, "...That is impresive. I like it."
Thea will find still-active power conduits in the base of the mangled wreckage... as well as what were once fine, delicate circuitry elements, melting into the metal below.
Voksa says, "Well. If we can stand here and prevent this thing from being repaired, it should be okay to turn on the maintenance system, right? Even if it's something that just heals the metal with no external mechanism, we can tear it back down. And with it never working, warbots can't activate to stop us!"
Voksa says, "And then we can follow the running maintenance system to find where its blueprints are, and give it something better than weapons to remember."
Vahno says, "Sounds like a possible plan."
Patashu rumbles, "My understanding is, the specific thing we need to do is find out what makes the auto repair system know to build the warbot factory back, and edit that data."
Outside, Chevy glances over to Mako, and can't help but grin a little bit. "Trance was... excessive... " She says, over the transmission as well. "... she was well-known for designing guns that no sane person would actually try to build. If you've ever imagined a gun and thought 'nah, that would be ridiculous.' Trance probably made a version of it for real."
Somewhere on the muck, Jaxen has disconnected.
Voksa . o O ( Ah, inventor of the chainsaw-launching crossbow, I see. )
Somewhere on the muck, Peril has disconnected.
Chevy: "Oh, that sounds like a good plan. If you want, let me know, and I'll take the leash off of the maintenance system finally."
Thea says, "I actually wonder, if the repair bots have nothing to do with the war bots..."
Mako quotes, "There is no such thing as "Overkill". Only "OPen Fire" and "II must reload."
OOC: She didn't make a chainsaw-launching crossbow that I recall, but she did make a rotary spring-tension battle-axe launcher.
Emma wraps her arms around herself for a moment, inside the Amy-vehicle, staring out. She murmurs to Amy, quietly, "So that guy back there... the one whose sword Thea looted, he died to get this ... whatever it was once, broken?"
Thea looks around. "Alright, just make sure you're ready to deactivate the repair system at a moment's notice if needed.
Amy says, "I bet they don't, Thea. I think this is kind of like a retrovirus ... instructions inserted to build something else, in a system they don't belong in"
[OOC] Emma says, "...oh wow, hahaha."
Voksa says, "Well. Deactivating the repair system involves some mechanical carnage."
Amy nods to Emma, "Seems like."
Thea nods to Amy. "Exactly." Then, looks to Voksa. "Period? ... Um. I don't want to activate it if it turns out the repair bots are the same techbase as the -moon structure-, readily able to overwhelm us."
Mako says, "Is it possible to trace any signals before you start that up? Just in case it tries to phone home?""
Chevy's drone wobbles to try and nod. "Alright... I'm unleashing the maintenance system. Let me know if anything happens."
Emma blinks and nods a little bit. "... wow." She seems mostly quiet, perhaps sobered by the interior of the tesseract.
Niny'ah steps outside and jetwings up to watch the perimeter
Chevy pauses. "What do you mean phone home?"
Mecha-Kon-Iro-Kitsune!!! says, "I can trace signals, or block them if need be."
[OOC] Vahno says, "She'd get a kick out of this one weapon from the Serious Sam Series, I bet."
Chevy: "Oh, good. Because the warbot activation thing is broadcasting a constant request for repair."
Amy brings the Bitsy closer to the shredded tower. "...what really? Hang on then. We'll just keep wrecking it. Let us know when it stops screaming."
Mako says, "Yeeah. Like, once you start it up you may want to know who is listening. And screaming back."
Azure, and anyone else who can detect such things, will be able to ascertain that power is flowing into this tower from further underground. And a hard-line sending information is traveling to a transmitter nearby, also beneath the surface.
You say, "maybe if we can diconnect the hardline power, it'll stay offline even through a rebuild"
Thea says, "Wait, where is it broadcasting the repair request -from-?"
Thea says, "... It might be as easy as shutting it up."
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! sniffsniffs along the ground and scratches a line along the floor, scratching the outline of the data cable. "Think we should try digging down to get that that?"
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! runs along the line to see where it's heading.
Amy pauses. maybe she's not needed
[OOC] Vahno says, "What was it again? It fired rocket propelled chainsaws. Rather, homing rocket propelled chainsaws that would hunt down enemies one after another until the chainsaw finally exploded."
Thea wonders where the transmitter-nearby is. Likely follows the Kitsune.
Patashu wouldn't mind smashing, but maybe we have a smarter plan...
Kobalt looks at Thea, "That's a really good question, yeah." He then starts following Thea...
Chevy: "If you need to, I'm willing to put up with pretty much any kind of damage if it leads to stopping this thing for good."
Somewhere on the muck, Sirianna has connected.
You say, "Surgical damage time? We've got a much more sophisticated sensor suite here than it seems Mask and Co had"
OOC: Kinna want somebody to pull the trigger on the Betty, even if only OOCly, because it cracks me up.
Niny'ah plays 'fox hunt' with the transmitter
Thea might be OOCly carrying Betty, but ICly, she stuck it with Corsa. So nothing says someone else can't take it and use it, even in its state. Or try to anyway.
Voksa . o O ( Fortunately, there's a couple of genuine foxes on the job! )
[OOC] Niny'ah says, "Radio-Geocaching term. using a highly-directional antenna to warmer-colder towards a transmitter"
[OOC] Voksa says, "I went to a convention where some people did a radio fox hunt! It was fun."
The signal is broadcasting from about three meters below the surface, and that also seems to be where the power lines leading to the tower wind up at. The tower itself, or the components of it, seem as though they may extend further into the ground... like an iceberg, most of it is hidden below out of sight.
Amy stomps around in circles around the transmitter, circling in.
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! crouches down, paw next to and nose pointing at the source of the transmissions.
Mecha-Kon-Iro-Kitsune!!! says, "There."
Thea stares down, adjusting her antennae manually. "Looks like the last crew only got the top of the brick."
Thea looks around, then to Azure. "Can you do resonant laser drilling?"
Amy says, "I can d-"
You say, "how many different ways do we have, to Dig A Hole in this team anyway"
You say, "Corsa can Cut Space..."
You say, "Man, what if Pata had brought his Excavator Dragon body"
Chevy: "Are we including the ability to tear a gun off of one of the dormant warbots and matter-crush downward?" Slight pause. "I'm imagining quite a few, but that would probably be one of them."
You say, "that's one option, but I'm not sure those can be freehanded, I'd say ask Amy about that one,s he's the on-site Magic expert"
Somewhere on the muck, Kamare has disconnected.
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! nods and trots back to let amy get in close.
Thea wanders back. "I mention lasers because they're surgical. No need to go blowing craters if we can drill a small hole.
Amy says, "You guys have *NO* idea. I've had this laser built for *2 years* and every time I miss the chance to use it.."
You say, "we need to know what we're cutting through"
Niny'ah makes an 'after you' gesture to Amy
Vahno says, "Cut away Amy."
Chevy's voice responds to Thea, nervously. "Oh, yeah... that is true. I would prefer surgical. I guess I got a bit ahead of myself. That happens, you know, when folks are trying to solve a problem. Stuff gets thrown out as an option."
Amy's spider mech ejects a glowing cylinder from its arm, landing amongst the wreckage and dinging away, as the laser arm powers up... The beam is a far-illuminating red. She starts by cutting a meter-sized hole to see through.
The metal surface beneath the fine layer of grit starts to rapidly boil and bubble away under the concentrated point of the beam. It is mundane metal, even though it is quite thick, and so it winds up providing no real obstacle to Amy's beam. The surface on which you stand is only about a foot and a half thick, and as soon as it is punctured, a rush of atmosphere starts curling in to be sucked into the lengthening gap.
The telepresence drone's broadcast: "Hi everybody! Relee here. Just wishing you all good luck in there! Take care and come home safe."
Niny'ah woah what - "Anybody got a way to check the airspace below us for pressure
Amy lowers the beam power for a better look at what they're aiming at, looking through a periscope like thing
Voksa . o O ( I vaguely remember a tool described that could check the pressure of gas in a pipe or container by hitting it and measuring the sound, but I can't recall if it was a real idea or some creative nonsense :B )
Thea backs away slightly, watching this, swaying her tail.
Beneath the layer of metal, a vast empty space opens up. The atmosphere within is not nonexistent, just lower-pressure compared to the exterior space, and Amy would not expect it to take long to equalize. Inside, she can see the long walls of adjacent metal plates leading down into nothingness, surrounding the block of metal in which the control tower's components likely reside. Part of her beam has cut inside that control tower... but part of it has also intersected the empty space. Far, far in the distance below, the opposite side of the interior of the moon can be seen. And there are tiny, faint sparks of light occasionally coming from an impossibly tiny spot somewhere in the center of the moon far below, surrounded by empty space.
Mako wait what, "It's all hollow?"
Amy says, "It's all hollow! I felt it."
You say, "woah..."
Voksa says, "At least it's not full of acid!"
Mako squint. "is that a feed disruption?" Points at sparks.
Amy says, "I hate it when my moons are full of acid."
You say, "I'm thinking to check down below. Any objhections/want to join me? [flying only]"
Voksa says, "Is that the singularity down there?"
Amy says, "Please wait until I stop shooting at things"
Niny'ah aight
Amy continues cutting at the underside of the tower, methodically left to right. "let me know when the signal goes dead"
OOC: Oh, you're cutting directly into the components? That works, I thought you were just cutting an entrance.
Emma watches all of this, fascinated.
With a little bit of surgical precision, the broadcast from the tower goes dead. Moments later, Chevy says, "I think it's gone now... there are still repair logs asking for attention. But with a little bit of time, I can try to hunt them all down and delete them. Maybe that would work!" The power leading to the tower still seems in place, but its broadcasts have gone dead.
You say, "what are the repair logs for?"
You say, "I'd think you'll want them active if it's your own Internals, but not for Factories"
[OOC] Amy says, "Kind of , the entrance was to get a look, from there, shoot at stuff"
Chevy: "I might be using the wrong term. You know that thing, when a record is kept of requests, so they can be gotten to when possible? Those things, for the maintenance system. I can delete them now, and they don't seem to be popping back up like they used to."
Thea looks to Niny'ah, flutters her wings. "I'll tag along flying if you'd like."
You say, "Clear downrange, Amy?"
Amy's droid ejects another glowing cylinder, which keeps glowing for many minutes.
Amy says, "Clear!""
[OOC] Amy says, "droid/mech"
Voksa hears "clear", impulsively takes their forepaws off the metal ground. Then looks around. Oh.
Niny'ah climbs carefully down into the hole, jetwings folded to clear the small cutaway, then popping back open once clear.
Thea follows along. She doesn't have jets; likely she's much slower than Niny'ah. On the other hand, this will let her linger, circle, and observe a lot more.
[OOC] Amy says, "without jets, how is she going to circle? all she's going to do is ... fall, straight into the middle"
Niny'ah's jetings don't need air to push off though
Emma frets, "I hope dropping the cut part into the moon isn't going to fuck anything up... Did it drop into the moon? Or am I imagining things?" She hesitates, then closes her eyes for a moment, composing a request to Niny'ah as to whether she can share a visual Emma could 'look through', though she's likely not trying to actually plug into it directly, this time.
Niny'ah provides a stream for Emma! She's pretty much sharing ti to the whole group
Amy says, "Some stuff did. But we're far form the first to puncture the moon's surface."
Voksa dives into the void! ...They get stuck around the middle.
The gap between the wall of... what might presumably be another empty space full of acid... and the wall of the now-mangled control tower base is a bit of a tight squeeze. But, about five meters down, it opens up a bit into a twelve-meter-wide gap between this wall, and the one on the far side of the tower base. It seems that this gap is about fourty meters long, but below... it quickly becomes apparent that you are looking at many kilometers worth of a drop before entering the hollow center of the moon. With all manner of advanced sensors and heads-up displays that are common to the group, it is probably about a thousand kilometers worth of empty space leading straight down toward the massive empty chamber.
OOC: How good is your telescopic vision?
[OOC] Amy has a literal telescope.
Voksa does at least have their head in there, with its full setup of space-navigation sensors. Their sight is -better- at these ranges than up close!
[OOC] Niny'ah says, "moderate. Space Is Big, after all"
Thea's vision is -quite- good. Well, as good as a camera that can fit in a head can be, diffraction permitting.
Niny'ah maglocks to a wall, narrowing her suit's vision down to a pinpoint, looking down into the Core.
Thea checks air pressure though. Niny'ah has a point. Her wings need a certain density of air to work. Not much, considering the low gravity, but, better to avoid a slow endless fall.
Niny'ah could *probably* catch Thea, given the low ambient gravity But
Niny'ah doesn't want to test that without pressing need
It is tiny enough to have difficulty spotting in the extreme distance, and the dark. But the fact that it occasionally lights up helps zero in on it a bit: down below, in the exact center of the hollow moon, floats a figure, standing atop a disk of filligreed white light arranged in an ornate pattern. The figure stands upright, stock-still, unmoving. But it doesn't appear to be restrained. It holds its hands in front of it in a prayer-like pose, its head bowed. It appears serpentine, humanoid, with great still fins running down the length of its neck and back, and similar sparred fins running down either side of its tail. A small walkway, thin enough to be nearly imperceptible at this range with normal sight, leads the many kilometers from this figure to the wall of the moon, somewhere directly to your south... the figure does not stand upon it, but it comes within a dozen meters of them.
Niny'ah... huh.
Voksa . o O ( well, THAT'S ominous. )
You say, "Thea, can Lil Bitsy maglock to a wall?"
Niny'ah er, Amy
[OOC] Niny'ah says, "blargh"
Thea: The air density fluctuates. It pulls down and pushes back toward the surface, almost like breathing. It is surprisingly thin, but it has begun equalizing with the atmosphere outside. Visual clarity suggests that the atmosphere does not continue all the way into the core. Past the walls of the moon, the interior space has the visual clarity of a perfect vacuum. Yes, that does not make perfect sense.
You say, "Amy, can Lil Bitsy maglock to a wall? Got something that I can't bring into more than a few tens of pixels"
Amy says, "...It can't. And even if it could, I'm not feeling QUITE that brave tonight. o_o;"
[OOC] Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! RETURNS! Sorry about that.
Voksa transmits what they can make out. "The source of the allergies?"
Amy says, "I've got a nice view through the hole in the world I just made though."
You say, "Mm... Anyone else got telescopic vision and can come down where I am? Got a Something."
[OOC] Voksa says, "Oh, would this be visible looking straight down?"
OOC: This is certainly NOT how I saw this being revealed, at all. But, I remain stubbornly adaptable.
[OOC] Voksa says, "I can get my head in the hole but can't otherwise fit :B"
[OOC] Niny'ah says, "oh, yeah. straight down"
OOC: Yes, straight down. It's in the core of the moon, at the perfect center point.
Voksa can indeed transmit their image, then!
Thea eyes this for a while. "Whatever that is, it's repulsing the local gasses." Though, does wander over to Niny'ah, looking over. "Is that... a statue? The real Chevesh?... I can't quite make out details. It looks humanoid I think."
Amy rolled '4 green daunting' for Fail 2 Advantage 2
Amy aims this way and that! Having trouble locking onto such an incredibly distant target. She can zoom out and see flickers. Zooming in is fraught...\
Emma is quiet, holding on a bit tightly to the arms(?) of her seat inside the Bitsy, looking through Niny'ah's vision, mostly -- and possibly Voksa's ... She breathes a quiet, "Oh, heck. ... goodness." Seming, at least to some extent, legitimately awed.
Emma, assuming she can see enough.
Chevy: "I know that thing." She says quietly. "I don't know who they are, but I recognize them. I think... I'm supposed to be afraid of them."
Amy says, "What? What is it, Emma?"
Thea says, "I'm curious enough, but I don't think I'd be able to get there... um. Afraid? Why? They're inside of you."
You say, "Waiiiit."
You say, "Amy..."
Amy says, "Hi Niny!"
You say, "Maybe this is what the Thaumaaturgic weapons were being fed from."
Emma quietly murmurs, "I, uh... d'you... have a video endpoint, I can pin it there, it's... like...?"
Chevy: "I don't know. I'm very confused. Have you ever seen something that jogs a memory, but... it's not, like, a memory you can really remember?"
Mako peeeers at the screen. "Several times..."
Amy says, "We actually have a word for that, Chev: Deja vu."
Amy says, "...which is two words."
Amy says, "...But still counts."
Amy finally gets her telescope focused on the thing. "...Holy hell."
You say, "Yes exactly"
Voksa says, "Should we go say hi?"
Thea says, "Maybe I was right. Chevesh -is- a deity."
You say, "We can't exactly all get down through this hole. Get clear, I'm coming back up."
Thea, to Voksa. "We could get a closer look via you or Corsa maybe."
Niny'ah sounds *spooked*
Amy says, "Voksy, I'm concerned there might be black holes in the vicinity. We know they're around somewhere, right? And *something* is lighting tht up..."
Thea says, "If we can find a way to get you down here..."
Somewhere on the muck, Jaxen has connected.
Voksa pulls their front half out of the hole.
Thea says, "Wait, you can tele-warp, right?"
Emma takes a deep breath. A little shakily, even -- she reaches out towards Amy for just a second, as though for reassurance, then stops herself. It's not even near here, it can't hurt you. "...I... don't think that ... I mean ... if Chevesh is supposed to be scared of it, I feel like we should be, too."
Thea follows out, looking to Corsa.
Mako says, "I do not know what that is. It's like an... miniature anti dyson sphere? I dunno..."
Corsa says, "I can't exactly teleport, but I can go around."
Emma a bit quieter, "...I mean... what if like. You wake it up... and it kills her?"
Voksa says, "It's a shellworld!"
Niny'ah climbs up through the hole, with a bit more haste than seems necessary
Thea says, "If there's a way you could warp through the hole without making it bigger, you could head in to have a look maybe."
Amy says, "I don't think we should touch it," messing with filters. "I think -- augh!"
Thea sounds and seems dissonantly calm.
Somewhere on the muck, Sirianna has disconnected.
Emma squeaks? and goes very still at the 'augh'.
Thea peeks up, looks at Amy. "What's up?"
Amy isn't blind, just dazzled. "...That thing is *very* bright in divine light."
Thea says, "As I suspected... well, I guess we know the source."
Emma, unless otherwise noted (e.g. specifically speaking just to Amy), is speaking over whatever the... general communications medium in use by everyone else is, presuming she can access it. (She probably can; if nothing else, it would be weird to bring along someone yet not give them your equivalent of a walkie-talkie, on an expedition like this.)
Emma quietly asks, "Chevesh... are you doing okay out there?"
Niny'ah figures it probably looks like a standard headset-with-mic and a 'scouter' HUD
Mako hmmm....
Emma also half-suspects that Amy has it patched into the Bitsy.
Amy has general purpose radio Emma can use yes.
Chevesh's comm chatter is silent for quite a while. "Processing." She says without inflection.
Niny'ah shares the Vibe of a Concerned Sideglance
Emma glances at Amy. "...I... feel like we should let her process and not touch it in the meantime..."
Amy says, "...Either that or hightail it to her brain..."
Mako says, "What if that's not a divine reaction she's having, but.... a kind of quarantining? Consumption? Not enough info. I would reccommend against touching it."
Thea glares down the hole with an almost hostile look, but, sounds a sigh. "At the least, she should be able to repair now, so I think we've accomplished our main objective?"
Emma looks at Amy again, going still. ... okay, now it's scary.
Chevesh's voice comes back quickly at that. "Quarantining." She says. "Quarantining feels more right than anything else."
Voksa says, "Oh! So the allergy could've been a warning that it had escaped?"
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! nods, "An enemy within."
Amy says, "Uh! I didn't even think of that. Yeah. Let's not disturb this thing. Plese."
Voksa pulls out a sheet of plastic, patches up the hole. Mimics innocent whistling.
Chevy: "I'm not afraid of it... but I get the idea in the back of my mind that I'm supposed to be. And I don't know why."
Mako says, "Better question is, why is something quarantining divine energy?"
Mako says, "... maybe better asked for a later time. "
Voksa says, "Sounds like the reaction of threat analysis programs somewhere in your mind. A database of known hazards that you've forgotten the meaning of, something like that."
Amy, to Mako, "Because it's been trapped and used like a mechanism." to Thea, "There's one more thing I'd like to do ... I have half an idea how to open that mysterious door Chev wanted open."
Mecha-Kon-Iro-Kitsune!!! says, "Perhaps it wants you to be afraid of it and finds it useful"
You say, "put it on the 'to not poke' list then. was there anythine eelse we needed from this area? We got Betty and retrieved Mask's remains."
Thea says, "Well, maybe some time I can introduce you to some friends who might have ideas on how to deal with it."
Thea says, "But that's probably for a ways down the line."
Niny'ah's voice has a kind of tight edge to it.
Thea then looks to Amy. "Yeah?"
Chevy: "I can try to turn on the maintenance system, now. I have a procedure in place in case it starts repairing something it shouldn't. But now... I'm kind of wondering if I know enough to actually know what is or isn't important to repair."
You say, "well..."
Amy says, "I don't think it's chemically related. That picture on the door reminded me of something else. Something Chev mentioned a couple time.s"
You say, "I can get Up High and watch for activity as you turn things on"
Chevy: "Oh, I didn't hear what Amy said. I can hold off for that."
Voksa says, "Oh?"
OOC: I sometimes post before having read everything, it's a bad habit.
Amy says, "It struck me that it looked like a vortex, but what kind of vortex has a field? A kugelblitz does: A black hole with a whole lot of charge."
Patashu ... woah. Amy sounds onto something
Emma slowly settles back in her chair, gripping the chair arms or whatever other handhold presents itself; she looks shaken, awed, and more than a little scared: Chevesh... is... may not be someone she's known for a long time, but she *likes* her, and might consider her a friend. Seeing what very well might be a captive god far below the already unsettlingly broken (and... fragile?) place where Chev keeps her brain... it just doesn't sit well with her. She fidgets in place, anxious, even tense, yet very quiet, watching.
Emma is also a little too aware of how far we might be from help or escape if something goes wrong. >.>
Thea says, "We could try it, if we want to go visit the brain door next?"
Voksa says, "Sounds good. I suspect it leads to that walkway!"
Emma quietly: "Try what?"
[OOC] Niny'ah says, "a walkway a thousand km long?"
Voksa says, "There's a door with a complicated lock in the brain-tower."
Chevy: "Oh... Emma never saw my brain. I like my brain. It's the only thing thusfar that I like looking at."
Amy says, "I think it must leaad to the real control center of this place. Where we might have a chance of getting to the center of what this all means."
[OOC] Voksa says, "Yep, there's a catwalk type thing down there, from the figure all the way to the outside"
Voksa says, "Your brain IS very pretty."
Thea says, "You know, there is another approach... if one of us can reach the walkway. Approach its entrance from the other side to see where it is."
OOC: It does help when all of the mechanical stresses are pointing in the same direction. But, yeah, a walkway does exist, and it probably should have torn itself free by its own weight.
Amy says, "Fine, who wants to do that?"
Voksa says, "I want to go."
Voksa says, "It sounds like answers, or at least a nice place to go before we leave. Maybe we can spot the repair systems fixing the place up."
Emma is confused now -- Voksa wants to go to the Tower of the Mind, or to disturb the interior?
[OOC] Voksa says, "The tower."
[OOC] Voksa says, "Oh! I misunderstood."
[OOC] Voksa says, "Yeah, I want to go to the tower, not poking around the interior yet."
[OOC] Voksa says, "Sorry."
[OOC] Emma says, "Sokay!"
[OOC] Emma says, "(At least, I'm not angry)"
Thea says, "We can always save the Journey to the Center of the Chevesh for another day... heck, we might get a map from the brain room I guess."
[OOC] Niny'ah says, "this is like in agame where you unlock a new area you're Underlevel for and you hve to Bug Out Fast when monsters that can turn you into a red smear turn their attention towards you"
OOC: Are there enough twists yet? Have I reached peak plot twist saturation?
Amy says, "I'm getting the impression that people profoundly don't want to open that door. Fine."
[OOC] Emma says, "More like "there's a giant beast around this door, back away slowly and block it off. If you let go of shift you're DEAD."
Emma is in favor of going to the tower! Not in favor of poking around the interior otherwise. <.<
Patashu rumbles, "The brain door? *I* want to see it open, and it sounds like you have a good theory."
Mecha-Kon-Iro-Kitsune!!! says, "I'm up for opening the door."
Niny'ah has no objection
Voksa says, "I have some new constellations to attempt, too."
Corsa says, "All aboard."
Chevy: "I also want to see the door opened."
Mako looks to Chev, "I swear I'm going to have to find a way to look at this that won't blow you up. I am now Concerned. And also piqued.
[OOC] Corsa says, "Okay, gonna try to navigate back there! *elevator music plays*"
Amy nods, "Alright then." Chev's brain, chev's door, if she wants it tried she can give it a try.
Corsa leaves for [Chevesh's Tesseract] Amidst the Storage Yards.
Corsa has left.

[Chevesh's Tesseract] Amidst the Storage Yards

The space between the ceiling and floor here is about three and a half meters, and remains consistent regardless of which floor you travel to. The sensation is almost like being within a grand dome, as the floor and ceiling curve away into the distance, following the curve of the moon's surface in a visible way within this vast uniform space. And everywhere you look, are robots. They are aligned two rows at a time, with three meters of space between the rows. And each row lasts for a length of thirty robots, before skipping a three-meter space, and continuing the next pair of rows. Enough space for machines to navigate and find their place within.
Most of the rows are made of standard warbots. Out of every ten rows of warbots, seven of those rows are made of what you might come to call [Common Warbot]s, and three rows will be made of [Fire Support] warbots. After every ten rows, one row will be made of what could be assumed to be [Command & Control] frames. And this pattern repeats itself, on every floor you manage to explore.
At the edge of the yards, nearest the factories, each floor contains a special lift that is not designed to carry warbots themselves, but rather components. A vertically sliding [Refit station] is able to travel up and down the yard.

[Chevesh's Tesseract] The Edge of the Storage Yards

The beginning of the storage yards stretches out in front of you. There is very little high-tech about this structure, it is simply wide fields of blank metal floor with marks to indicate where individual robots are meant to come to rest and wait.
There are five floors above you that each hold robots waiting to be activated, and who knows how many below. Perhaps you could look at the [lift] situated nearby to get a better idea. The area directly in front of you is completely empty, about thirty of the nearest spaces empty of robots. And countless numbers left un-awoken beyond. Perhaps you can get a better look at one of the undamaged machines close up, by heading deeper into the yards.

The top of this tower upon which you've climbed is 20 meters across, in diameter. The top surface slopes up toward the middle gradually, though not steeply enough to make walking up it difficult.
The plates which make up the surface you're standing on are segmented, with three of them at equidistant points around the circumference seeming inset. Near the peak, you can spot what looks very much like a [control panel], though it appears to have been broken and pulled out of its casing...

[Chevesh's Tesseract] The Mind-Tower

This room is dominated by a central tower, seemingly made of green [glass], and not perfectly smooth. Rather, it's more like an arrangement of long, thin glass bars in a rectangular shape, each about a meter long, stacked on top of eachother vertically end-to-end and held tightly into a column.
The column is unpredictable. Sometimes it remains stable and still where it is, but without warning, it can turn slowly or quickly, usually in response to the many [plates] being shifted in to lock with it or pulled away to the outside of the room. The outer wall of the circular room is covered with many of them, though there are multiple gaps that stand empty. At random intervals, the pillar may rotate, and then one of these plates will be extended on a long thin arm until it touches the glass column, where it will lock into place and rotate with the pillar as the arm once again retracts.
At other seemingly random times, some segment of the column's length will expand outward, in a swell that travels upward or down, before retracting into the center again. These events are followed by a rise of green light within the glass column, that will filter through the glass in seemingly random and sporadic patterns, diffusing into a glittering series of flashes and sparks before dying down into a fading glow.
The round pedestal upon which the column rests does not actually physically touch it, but it rotates with the column, projecting from itself a powerful feeling of building static that makes you wary of approaching too close. It fills the atmosphere with a constant, low-pitched humming, and a constant breeze that pushes the nearby gasses away from itself at a constant rate, pulling more in from above. Near this pedestal, a scattering of multiple [broken] plates litter the floor.

The broken tablet with the bullet-holes is no longer present, ICly, I believe.
Amy leaves the itsy bitsy behind for the moment - it's airlocked, emma won't be poisoned - carefully skirting the edge of the chamber along the way to the door. She begins messing with code wheels...
The drone flits inside, and then drops like a stone near the edge of the room in the much thinner atmosphere, before its flight components whir up to higher power, preventing it from hitting the floor.
Voksa dives to slide a paw under the drone! But it lifts back off before crashing, whew.
You say, "yeah, that different air density will catch you off guard"
Thea follows along. "The only try I had was 'sagittarius'. But, it's probably not actually a constellation, as constellations are seen /from/ somewhere. And odds are this came from somewhere nowhere near Earth, Sol."
Mako says, "Are there any constellations that would have thematic relevance?"
Voksa says, "Ophiuchus and Serpens, maybe. Snake-entity."
Mecha-Kon-Iro-Kitsune!!! says, "Hydra."
Voksa says, "I don't suppose anyone has guessed the atmosphere and put in "fluoroantimonic acid" yet?"
You say, "As I recall, 'sagittarius' can refer to "Supermassive Black Hole Sagittarius A*"
Thea nods to Niny'ah. "That's what the picture reminded me of, so..."
Amy fiddles for a long time, trying various configurations. What she assumes neutronium might look like. some sort of subatomic diagram. Fields? Nothing seems to work. Finally she just begins clearing the whole diagram out into a featureless circle...
Amy arranges all four blank tiles in the middle of the door, denoting an answer of 'nothing.' Just a blank absence of anything. There is a small explosion of dust being shot out of the space between the doors, and several heavy *THUNK* sounds, and then they swing outward toward you slowly, revealing a surprisingly small space at the end of a hallway ahead. No matter who you are, it is easy to tell a shrine when you see one. Yellow lights flicker on to either side of a tan room, which leads directly to an ornate structure at the end covered in carvings. Thea says, "We should be able to send a feed back, right?"

[Chevesh's Tesseract] Ancient Shrine

This room is lit by recessed electrical lighting, one light on either side of the room, that glows with a yellow filter that brings to mind dim firelight. The shape and dimensions of the room are actually meager. Each wall has a raised shelf cut into the wall, on each of which rest a series of stonelike [tablets.]
At the far end of the room, seemingly the centerpoint around which the entire space is built, is a tall trapezoidal shrine. Made entirely of what seems to be shiny, pure platinum, it rests upon the floor with no apparent mounting to secure it in place. Upon the face of the shrine, a beautiful bas-relief [sculpture] of a figure rests. And below that, the metal is left rough and unfinished rather than shiny and smooth, and into that surface is carved a long series of fine symbols, made of different orientations of circles and lines connecting them, which look very familiar now.

Voksa connects to Horse Vision
Niny'ah l tablets
These tablets are not stone, but they seem to be made specifically to resemble it. The kind of metal they are made from would be difficult to ascertain without a chemical analysis, as the rough unfinished texture and the fact that they are lighter than you would expect them to be makes them feel strange for anything but perhaps aluminum. Each of the 12 tablets, 6 on each side, is unique from the others. The top of each tablet's face has an etching of a point, from which many varied-length lines project. Beneath those images, each tablet carries a short inscription in the alien circle-and-line icons.
[OOC] Niny'ah says, "woops"
Patashu rumbles, "Oh, this is... Not what I was expecting. Fascinating..."
OOC: Nay.
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! says, "They noth really well, though."
Voksa says, "Serpent-statue."
Voksa says, "That's the creature in the center, I think."

The subject of this sculpture is slender and flexible, arranged in a pose that has its upper body curling toward its left while its lower body, hips, and tail gently curve back toward its right. It is not standing, but seems to be drifting, as though floating in the air or swimming.
Swimming might be appropriate, as many of the figure's physical characteristics bring to mind the idea of an aquatic serpent. Some cross between fish and reptile. It is bipedal and humanoid, with two long arms and long slender legs, and a long muscular tail curving behind it that ends in a fork of spined, webbed fins. These same sort of features, long flexible spines with webbing drawn between them, appear on the outside of the forearms and the calves. Most dominant, however, they form a pair of long fins that sweep backward from the top of the head, peaking in length behind the long, slender neck and shortening down the length of the back before they disappear near the base of the tail.
The figure's head is narrow and nearly snakelike, without a visible mouth, and with very large eyes that are carved with no features within them. A small, blunt horn emerges from the head right between the eyes, where the brow meets the bridge of the nose.
One of the figure's clawed, webbed hands carries a spear, held partly behind the body. The other hand, the one that the upper body is curving toward, is held up in a cupping motion, and carved hovering over that hand is a stylized whorl that could be a hurricane... but, in context, is almost certainly meant to portray a galaxy.

Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!!'s eyes color all silver again.
Vahno says, "I... really can't imagine why this is here. Or sealed."
Emma blinks and breathes slowly, back in Amy's vehicle, trying not to freak out from the quiet and alone -- she can't help glancing around, paranoid, and then decides to just lean forwards and rest her forehead on ... the window, maybe ... and close her eyes, looking through the sensoriums from Niny'ah and anyone else entering the shrine-room alone.
Somewhere on the muck, Beltrami has disconnected.
Mako says, "Couple possibilities...."
Voksa can't fit either, so they rest against the cool spidermech.
Niny'ah moves in to get enough pics of the sculpture to let anyone with the prrocessing power make a software model
Chevy: "Yeah. Their name seems to be... Nostme'urra. It's like a prayer written on the pedestal. Something something, Nostme'urra, the seed, survivor of the universe that came before... " Her camera tracks to the tablets. "The tablets are... oh." Her voice drops. "They're... records, of star systems, and the people who used to live there... "
You say, "Oh wow"
Thea circles around it, getting a more or less detailed 3D scan in essence. "The universe that came before... I've heard of a few theories on that."
Patashu rumbles, "Guessing from context... The 'black hole' puzzle door, kugelblitz array, this shrine and your *original* creation are all linked."
Amy says, "Someone suggested Chevesh might be some sort of ark. The last remnant of this species. I'm wild guessing that's what the statue in the center is about."
You say, "Small wonder Amy got walloped in magesight"
Amy says, "I don't even *have* magesight, that was a telescope filter for it c.c"
You say, "This is a Benevolent Transbang Elder God right here"
Amy says, "Emma, you doing OK back there?"
Thea says, "The fact this place is in a pocket, also says a lot in that regard."
Vahno is maybe gonna regret this... he'll take a peek with magesight at the shrine.
Emma hasn't muted herself; she's just... quiet. Not doing much more than breathign. After a moment she does respond, "...I uh... think so, yeah..."
Mako says, "An ark... then what went wrong?"
Amy looks behind her, to have a look at what Chevesh's brain is doing while this topic is being discussed. any obviously crossed wires, missing mechanisms, etc?
Patashu rumbles, "Oh, and if that's right and Chevesh is an ark, then the planet that's inside of her was meant to be...?"
Niny'ah investigates the tablets too, getting the higest fidelity recordings her suit can provide
[OOC] Mako is thinking prior universe and trying to think of what the opposite of an anachronox is...
Thea looks somewhat put off by this whole place, but... "Maybe nothing went wrong. Maybe this whole thing is a cryopod escape capsule for a deity ejected from their home-continuum."
The drone flits up to a few of the tablets. "I think these people went extinct." She says solemnly. "Because they would someday spawn a god who would oppose Nostme'urra... at the end of days? They're worded like they were killed off before Nostme'urra's enemies could be born."
Thea says, "And it's still ticking along."
Vahno: The shrine is not magical. It's pretty benign to magesight, surprisingly.
Mako says, "That does not sound like the actions of a benevolent god."
You say, "Ah"
You say, "Well, powerful, in any case"
Mako eyebrows go up. "Aand something just made sense.
Emma, very very quiet, "...maybe we don't wake it up..."
Niny'ah still seems slightly Spooked, despite not having magesight
Amy: Chevy's brain is whirring around and replacing tablets at an increased rate. There are several empty arms, with no tablets on them, that are being extended toward the tower and then retracted empty-handed.
Emma sounds genuinely unsettled, admittedly.
Mako says, "About the whole divine allergy thing. Whatever this thing is, it really, REALLY doesn't like competition..."
Amy says, "...Chev, your feeling of missing memories may be literal. There's arms moving around empty here."
Amy says, "I'm hoping repair protocols can handle that, as they're just tablets, not brain-stuff"
Vahno says, "...Huh. No magic."
Chevy, quietly: "I think each of these tablets represents a people that I wiped out... like, completely. When they couldn't even fight back."
Thea says, "Doubtless some of them are the broken tablets littered around."
Patashu holds a claw to his muzzle. Goodness, hmm...
You say, "Chev, when we get back, you are getting So Many Hugs."
Amy says, "Not *you*, chev. Whatever ... nonsense got grated to you later."
Thea ponders, ponders again. She returns to the brain room and conjures a purple-orange flame in hand, using it to light a scanning lens to take a closer look at the magic of the brain. She's wondering it if it might be possible to figure out how the read/write action works.
Emma blinks her eyes open and glances sidelong at Thea.
Thea says, "Doubtless the magic here is beyond me but I'm hoping we might see some recognizable logic and transfer going on."
Amy says, "I have some ideas on that, Thea. Show the real Chevesh things, see what happens in here. If she's willing. But that could be a long, long project, and she hasn't even begun auto repair yet."
Thea says, "I'm thinking, if we can figure out the way data is encoded, we might be able to recover the broken ones."
Mako bites her lip. "I am having Ideas and some of them worry me now."
Amy says, "Ah! The tablets aren't data, Thea, just servos."
Thea would scan what she could all around before forwarding the likely-raw sights to her friends. She looks to Amy. "Definitely a good idea."
Thea says, "Though... yeah. Maybe it would be better to come back after Chevesh has tidied herself up a bit."
OOC: Thea: Not just beyond you, but somewhat beyond me. I was not prepared for that question, though I should have been, really. As such, I have no exact explanation to describe for you. I can tell you that it involves the shifting structure and density of the fluid within the tablets, as they melt and solidify in different shapes, and it's a combination of magic and electrical signals working in tandem. Magic following very electronic paths.
You say, "we got the one major goal done, disable the robots' control tower"
Voksa says, "Yes! The ancient injuries can finally heal."
Voksa says, "We just discovered a few new problems, as adventures tend to go."
[OOC] Niny'ah says, "has Chev activated the repair systems yet?"
OOC: Goddammit, I should have read again. Well, that's what you will discover, with time spent experimenting and studying.
OOC Niny: Not yet, no. She can do that in offscreen time a bit, unless you want to save it for when you're all here.
Amy waits until the shrine is empty then closes the door, and picks her way back to the Bitsy.
[OOC] Niny'ah says, "I was hoping to be able to Fly Up and Watch repair drones Do Their Thing"
Also, that shrine is not fastened to the floor at all. It's sitting free on the floor.
[OOC] Amy says, "I'm sure we'd like to see what it looks like. And particularly whether they bother to work here"
Niny'ah thinks everyone here is in general agreement that that shrine can stay exactly how it is
Niny'ah did get high-fidelity scans of it though, suitable for reproduction
OOC: Alright! There's nothing mechanical in the shrine itself, so they probably won't come in here, but probably the brain will be an early place they hit.
[OOC] Vahno is thinking brains for some reason.
[OOC] Amy says, "confirmed, vahno's a zombie"
Azure has left.
Chevy, quietly: "I guess I ought to start the repair systems."
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!!'s eyes go back to the blue/silver swirl.
Amy says, "how about we all clear out and let Chevy do that?"
Amy says, "We can watch, but shouldn't touch"
Voksa says, "I agree."
Mako says, "Practice self care. Literally."
OOC: will wait for Niny to get an aerial view.
Corsa says, "Back to the tower?"
Amy thumps into the Bitsy's pilot seat. A trace of bitter atmosphere follows her, but only a trace, rapidly sucked up by the recyclers
Niny'ah flies up and out of the brain tower, as high as her wingw will take her comfortably
Thea follows Niny'ah; she's curious about this too!
Chevy transmits: "Alright turning the maintenance thingies... " she trails off.
Amy travels with Corsa, wherever they're doing
Corsa pulls their head back out of the tower to stand aside! They'll wait until everyone is ready to leave before actually carrying everyone out.
Nothing seems to happen at first, for several moments. Then, from the masses floating in the sky near the moon, a cloud approaches. Like a buzzing swarm of flies, many tiny, two-foot-long objects flit down toward the surface, and then scatter off like breaking schools of fish, diverging into varying paths that flow toward vital systems across the moon. Many of them begin flowing in the direction of the mind tower. Many others descend like a flock upon the ejection tower, splitting into varying heights to intercept its length.
You say, "Good thing we moved out of the mind tower"
Voksa says, "Woah! They're beautiful..."
You say, "Are you seeing this, Chev?"
Patashu rumbles, "Woaaah. Look at them go!"
[OOC] Emma says, "Did Azure leave on purpose?"
[OOC] Voksa says, "Merged with Kitsune again."
Chevy's drone bobbles in approximation of a nod. "Yeah." She says. "I never thought to check those hunks of stuff floating in orbit."
Amy says, "I didn't know there *was* stuff floating in orbit. Huh."
You say, "It's easy to miss"
OOC: Oh, they were described in the 'toxic sky' room.
Niny'ah tries to telescope on the orbital objects
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! rears up and watches the repair units flying around
Emma visibly relaxes when Amy returns to the bitsy 'mech'. At least now there's far less chance of her being trapped alone in a vehicle she doesn't know how to pilot, in a toxic and lifeless atmosphere that would kill her if she left, outside the universe. You know, just normal elf girl worries, nothing too special.
Thea grins a bit, looking up. "That, is actually pretty slick." She banks, slaloming a figure eight to get a good look at all of this.
You say, "No two ways about it Chev - your original systems design is an absolute marvel"
Amy hd offered to teach her, but she hadn't been interested, at the time ;p
Each of the small floating automotons looks something like a pine-cone, with a dense sensor cluster hidden beneath the clear dome of a central 'eye' at the widest point. They seem to flit about like dragonflies, with no external means of propulsion. When they reach the mind-tower and descend inside, they fan out to all parts of the device. Many of them will have their overlapping plates fan out, revealing complex tools on spindly segmented arms unfolding between the gaps. They drift around, working quickly and efficiently, cleaning and coating the surfaces of the mind's components, some of them measuring and examining surface damage along the way, though they don't repair such damage right away.
Emma had thought that a driving lesson would potentially interfere with the whole "expedition to an alien world" thing! Perhaps next time she'll be coming in the dragon body, though.
Niny'ah uses her suit's sensorium - any electronics detectable, or magic?
Amy manages to get a better look at them when they start settling down to do things.
Thea heck, takes a magic scan too, she's curious!
You say, "I'm glad I came up herefor this - it's eerie and beautiful"
Niny: The orbital objects seem like chunks of material, floating in the sky, in a high distant orbit. They almost look like chunks of a planet or moon in silhouette. But occasionally, little towers or antennaes can be made out along their edges. The moon has blossomed in a rapidly expanding network of communications between each of the drones, like an invisible expanding net settling over the moon's surface.
You say, "Oh man that is some *dense* radio chatter"
Emma closes her eyes, and quietly looks through Niny'ah's, for a little while ... yeah, this is kinda beautiful. She almost manages to relax.
Niny'ah holds her flying position, just... observing.
Thea: The maintenance drones have very little magic, but it's there. It seems to be used for instant long-range communication, mostly. The bulk of the devices seem to be mechanical in nature. They might be feeding from the broadcast power field as well.
Amy's radio sounds far from beautiful. An unsophisticated analog receiver, it's mostly getting 'tch squee tick tick' from these things
Moments after the first ones arrive, more descend into the mind tower room, carrying chunks of material. They settle upon damaged parts of the tablets and rods, hold the material against it, and then begin shocking it with the tips of sparking rods at the ends of their manipulator arms to instantly soften and mould the material into the cracks and gaps.
Airborne observers will see a dense cloud of maintenance drones swarming all over the piles of destroyed warbots to the east of the ejection tower.
Niny'ah zooms in on that
You say, "What have we here..."
Voksa . o O ( Salvaging, hopefully. )
Somewhere on the muck, Dawnwing has connected.
Emma tenses up a bit.
Thea oooohs. "These things... I wonder if Chevesh might be able to share the designs?" Then- "Um..." Crap... or maybe not?
[OOC] Mako says, "I am afraid that it is now Much Too Late(tm) for me. Nearly 2am and I should fall over"
Amy looks at what Emma's looking at. "...The warbots have their own repair systems.. why are the tower ones going there? Reabsorbing them?"
[OOC] Patashu says, "Good night!"
It seems to be both salvage and repair, simultaneously. Drones are flying around, melting down and bundling up material from some of the drones, and actively trying to re-mould the shells of others.
OOC Warbots, not drones.
Patashu perks up. "Uhh, if those warbots get repaired, turned on and are ready to shoot to kill again..."
Voksa says, "Well. I guess it doesn't matter how fixed-up they are, if they can't be started up."
Voksa says, "There's warehouses full, these few won't make a difference."
Amy says, "...There is at least one C&C bot still standing, on the far side of the planet."
You say, "Seriously wonder how the Warmongers added things to the repair templates..."
Emma tenses a little more, glancing at Amy. "... wait, I..." She kinda goes still. "...are we about to die? Or did you not mean it like that?"
Chevy: "Good news, though. After I deleted all of the repair requests from the warbot control tower... I haven't seen any maintenance chatter in regards to it. I am cautiously hopeful."
You say, "Fingers crossed"
Amy says, "We don't have it as bad as the last team did. We've fooled these bots before and can do it again. We can command them to recycle themselves and they'll do it. But we have to stay on top of this."
[OOC] Vahno has to go to sleep. See ya.
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! crosses two of their VastPain(TM) claws.
Vahno teleports away.
Vahno has left.
Somewhere on the muck, Vahno has disconnected.
Thea says, "Think we should fly around the moon and take out that one last CnC bot, just in case?"
You say, "I don't think it's needed"
Emma relaxes a little at this, "...I mean... that's not *as* bad, then."
[OOC] Voksa says, "It is so late. I have to go :B"
You say, "We can spoof it again if we have to. they're not that sophisticated in EWAR"
[OOC] Emma says, "Eep, I'm sorry"
OOC: Yeah, let's wrap it up here.
[OOC] Voksa says, "or to be more accurate, I can no longer focus on this at all, but still"
[OOC] Emma says, "What, so we're still in suspended animation inside the tesseract till another session concludes?"
OOC: I hope everyone had fun tonight. I really want it to be interesting, but without being so convoluted as to be frustrating.
[OOC] Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! had fun!
[OOC] Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! says, "Thank you."
[OOC] Voksa says, "I think this is really cool, yeah! It's just been four hours lol"
OOC: No, you can leave between expeditions.
[OOC] Amy says, "I think we do need some sort of conclusion, otherwise we ARE stuck here"
[OOC] Niny'ah says, "I got a cue to use"
[OOC] Voksa says, "Repairs successful! The only machine that can activate more robots is decommissioned. We can just leave, I think."
[OOC] Emma says, "I can only speak for myself but it was fascinating, and in places very evocative... thank you for letting me watch."
OOC: I can pose Corsa getting everyone out if needed, if Voksa must sleep immediately.
You say, "I don't think we want to do any more scouting while the repairs are going on. Lets boogie on out"
[OOC] Voksa says, "I don't need to sleep, I'm just losing my mind slightly"
[OOC] Amy says, "if we *can* leave withou major disaster :P"
[OOC] Mako thought your plan was to let Chev get repairs started and leave anyway
[OOC] Amy says, "repair chev yes, repair battlebots no"
OOC: And to start dismantling the whole warbot army.
[OOC] Amy says, "so the question again: *can* we leave without major disaster? or have we instigated something that will go sour if we don't watch it like a hawk?"
[OOC] Niny'ah says, "Corsa can thread the needle without needing the launch tower"
Thea nods to Niny'ah, "Alright. Might want to leave the drone behind to watch from afar, just in case. That way we can rest easy knowing we won't be in for a surprise."
OOC: Chevy said she could keep an eye on the warbot control tower, and shut down the maintenance again if it starts wiggling that way.
[OOC] Niny'ah says, "shall we pop back out before Voksa completely loses their marbles?"
[OOC] Amy says, "not what I asked but OK :P I'll take that at face value and see"
Chevy: "Oh, yeah! I can keep an eye on everything with the drone. And I can pass it to other people if they want to take a turn."
[OOC] Thea nods, thanks for hosting this, Chevesh!
[OOC] Amy says, "Indeed! Thank you, goodnight"
OOC: Very happy to share. And I hope you all have an excellent night as well.
Corsa has left.
Thea has left.
Voksa has left.
Amy has left.
Corsa carries you along with Corsa.
Patashu's Personal Quarters(#29396RLJA)
While the base is constantly busy manufacturing and researching and testing and shipping and soforth, Patashu often desires to have a space of his own to work on personal projects or to have discussions with friends and associates. The quarters start with an open foyer of sorts - having a lounge and holographic computer systems, workbenches and scientific equipment and a table (with the company logo emblazoned in gold along its surface) that can be used for conferences, gaming and eating just as easily. (Of course, there are amneties for organic visitors - food, water, beds and all!) (Oh yes, and there IS a pile of 'cushions' and 'beanbags'.) From the holographic screens, all activity of the base can be monitored, and base databases/security feeds accessed. Off to one side, a personal hangar has a huge, rotary rack of different robotic parts and even alternate bodies that can be swapped into and out of, as well as a maintenance system with automated scaffold lined with robotic arms. Kobolds clean, maintain and can be called upon for any necessary task. Posters and blueprints line many of the walls, some of them of products the base builds, some of them gaming related or based on legendary mecha, and the noise of the surrounding base is (mostly) dampened.
Among the Cushions, you see it is empty.

Thea, once we're all out, wanders over to Chevesh. "Well, that was every kind of intriguing. And now, I wish to do the thing nobody expected me to do."
Chevesh pulls her headset off after a moment, looking weary, and rubs her eyes with both palms.
Dawnwing says, "Ah, hello everyone!"
Thea hands Betty to Chevesh.
Thea hands Jiyu to Chevesh.
Niny'ah coaxes Chevesh into a hug, once a kobold has vacuumed any dust out of her fur
Thea says, "They were on your property, and have your sentiments. Not sure who better to keep them."
Dawnwing says, "I showed up and, er ... I guess you were all inside and Chevesh kinda hinted at that so I didn't want to do anything that might disrupt that."
Emma runs over to Chevesh once she's extricated herself from Amy's vehicle, and *also* tries to hug her. <.<
Mako applies hugs to people, bed now.
Chevesh glances up, accepting the weapons, and smirks. "I expected you to." She replies.
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! pads over and offers Chevesh a hug with a warm, steely paw.
Chevesh purrs and hugs Niny'ah, and Kitsune, and Mako, and Emma. She doesn't seem to mind, in fact she tries to stay in the hugs as long as possible.
Mako has disconnected.
Voksa has connected.
Capricious Proxy wakes up.
Corsa wakes up.
Amy headbump Chev's side friendly like.
Emma seems, for her part, perfectly happy to burrow against Chevesh, hug her and bury her face in the feline's pelt, artificial or not -- it's reassuringly warm and solid after everything on the other side of the tesseract, which feels like (...is, come to that) an entirely different world.
Chevesh glances up to Thea, quizzically. "So, uhm... " She pauses, considering how to proceed. "... if you had Mask's old sword, would you put it to use? It would be a shame to let it languish in a display case somewhere."
Thea chuckles, wanders over to the whole group to winghug around everyone as best as she can.
Voksa scurries over to hug critters.
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!!, powerful mechanical hugging engine, is able to hug for a quite long time.
Voksa . o O ( Ah, a marvel of engineering... )
Chevesh purrs and pulls Amy up into her, wrapping arms around her and rumbling contentedly as she nuzzles over her head while curling up against Emma, and giving her a lick. Then purrts! And gets enfolded with the others in a hug sandwich.
Thea says, "And, well, I'm not really the sword type. If I had to pick one, it would probably be a saber, not a katana."
You say, "I'm more to staffs and spears, myself"
Thea says, "If anything, you'd do better using it yourself. You have a thing about using Not Guns after all."
Chevesh nods. "Okay, just checking... if anyone does want to use it, you're welcome to." She nods to Thea. "Yeah, but... swords have always seemed so impersonal, compared to claws and teeth... "
Voksa says, "Woah. What if you could load it into your claw-teleporting system, so you could just appearify a cool sword in your paws?"
Emma relaxes slowly, breathing, and even appearing to (very faintly) purr, too. ... She probably doesn't have too much moon-dust on her; the only way it would have got there is when Amy left and re-entered the vehicle, or when she exited it after returning.
Dawnwing says, "Some people don't have claws, so a sword may have to do!"
Emma chirps out at Voksa, "It's okay! Like, you weren't being scary."
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! leaves for Primary Factory Complex.
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! has left.
Voksa says, "Oh, I know! But like... Horrific environment. Entity of unknown power who might be a friend's life support system, or something a friend is a prison for. Small vehicle you don't know how to pilot in an inhospitable environment. It sounds very stressful."
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! has teleported in.
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! has arrived.
Chevesh yawns a bit, flicking her tail, pressing her mouth against the side of Emma's face to purr into it for a few seconds, giving her a warm squeeze. Then nuzzles her, and says "I have a lot to think about... but it was nice to end tonight on a high note. It is more a weight off of my shoulders than I realized, just having everything getting patched up finally. I'm already feeling a lot better."
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! oopses
Azure has arrived.
Azure leaps out of the kitsune and shakes out.
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!!'s eyes go back to pure silver.
Corsa retreats from the too-small space and fetches a different shell.
Azure sits down and pets the Kitsune the way they might a steely kitten. And leans over to pat Corsa, "Thank you for having us."
Azure leans down and noses Chevesh, "And, thank you for having us."
Thea nods. "And to top it off, we've literally only scratched the surface of the mystery that is you.
Kobalt yawns and finds spot to curl up.
Chevesh lifts her head toward Corsa, and purrs "Thank you very much for helping to make everything possible."
Amy says, "I'm *really* glad to have your repair systems online. Just seeing those weird bugs flying for your inner skull was a weight off my mind. Which would sound really weird said to anyone else."
Azure reaches over and pets Kobalt carefully, "Doctor."
Chevesh rumbles, and places a paw on Azure's face, nosing back at them and flicking her tail.
Dawnwing says, "Making the mystery that is Chevesh a little safer?~"
Corsa is plainly unsure of how to react to petting. They reach up and hold onto Azure's paw! "It was a joy to help."
Thea ponders. "Actually... I wonder if Mako would like the sword? She has an eastern flair after all."
Emma purrs quietly. She chirps a little at Azure.
You say, "We could store it in the PI armory for Special Occasions."
Chevesh laughs, to Amy. "Yeah... I guess that does sound kind of weird." She admits. "I think... the thing I'm most grateful for tonight, though, is getting Mask's body out of there. I need to find a nice place to put him to rest."
Thea looks to Dawnwing. "We'll have to see if the toxic atmosphere cleans up, or at least starts to change to something less corrosive. That'll answer if it was meant to be there or not."
Chevesh lifts her head, looking for Mako. "Oh, I will have to ask her." She replies.
You say, "I think it wasn't supposed to be like that"
Dawnwing says, "I admit I'm a little afraid to try going in, myself. Idunno if it'd cut me off from the rest of me."
Thea says, "So, if we're lucky, we won't have to worry about spontaneous chemical combustion next time we have a look."
Chevesh squirms out of the snuggle-pile long enough to place Betty down on the table, and pull the trigger.
Dawnwing says, "Yeah, after looking up -superacid-, er ..."
Chevesh drops Betty.
Dawnwing says, "Arceus Almighty."
Emma squeaks?! o.o;
Thea says, "Actually, if Chevesh is operating her body out here, that implies there -is- a connection active, so you should be fine, Dawnwing."
Chevesh depresses the trigger, and the Betty's wired box begins to play an unfamiliar song that might as well be Wagner's 'Ride of the Valkyries' at high volume as the barrels start to spin at a dizzying rate.
Emma blink... blink... blink. o.o;
Voksa says, "Bahaha!"
Niny'ah. . . "BAHAHAHAHA
Patashu rumbles, "Oh my *god*."
Chevesh releases the trigger, and picks the gun back up. "I was hoping that still worked." She rumbles.
You say, "Because OF COURSE"
Dawnwing mimes a conductor's baton to go along with the music.
Thea looks to Betty. "... Three hundred years. In an acid gas. And the one thing that works still, is -that-."
Emma stares at Chevesh, a little wide-eyed. "... how did you know there were no rockets loaded?"
You say, "what ELSE are you going to blast as theme music while firing something like that"
Azure's ears spring up and focus on Emma. T hey o/` AwrOOoo? o/` toward her.
Thea says, "I'm legit impressed. That's some serious ragnarok-proofing for the lulz emitter."
Chevesh glances at Thea, and nods. "Well, that's Raol for you. He sprayed everything down with an acid-resistant coating once they got inside."
Amy blinks at the weapon, flashing back to looney tunes
Dawnwing says, "Memes really are forever, huh?"
Thea grins briefly. "You had a heck of a crew, gotta say it."
You say, "I can see why you miss them"
Niny'ah gives Chev an extra squeeze in the hug
Emma:blinks up at Azure. "...mew?"
Dawnwing says, "Oh. Oh dear. I take it there's some sad history in there"
Azure smiles, "You were chirping, I just wondered what was up."
You say, "Mask and Trance (was Raol on that Op?) went in to disable the warbots. Only trance came out and she was in a bad way afterwards"
Amy asides to Dawnwing, "I mean... they died? Some from robots, some from old age. This is all stuff from a bygone era now"
Niny'ah thumbs towards Amy. "Yeah. Thiss was like... 300 years ago
Chevesh laughs, and purrs, wrapping paws around Niny to hug in return. "Well... I am feeling the mother of all recovery periods coming on, to flush out all those errors and spend a few cycles putting resources toward diagnostics. But I set an alarm just in case they start fiddling with something I don't want them to."
Voksa grabs Corsa and scurries off to the mech-wash.
Voksa leaves for Primary Factory Complex.
Voksa has left.
Chevesh glances to Dawnwing and Amy, and nods. She's still smiling, but it's a lot more wan of an expression. "Yeah, they're all gone." She replies. "But, you know... that happens. People are like flowers. It's still sad. But now I'm telling stories about them, aren't I?"
Emma burrows against Chevesh' side, quiet.
Capricious Proxy falls asleep.
Dawnwing offers Chevesh a multihug.
Emma well, save for purring.
Chevesh purrs and rolls over to curl around Emma in a hug, purring too. "But... I really ought to be going off to rest, now."
Dawnwing says, "Do be well!"
Emma purrs! and hugs Chevesh in return... "Oh -- good night. Sleep well, I hope you don't wake up to a warbot alarm."
Amy says, "...quick, the snackbar still has pizza. grab it while there's still time!"
Niny'ah beelines for pizza!
Patashu rumbles, "You've got 48 minutes until it rotates, Amy"
Amy says, "...and WINE. Best snackbar ever."
Stainless steel and chrome, with a headed pad and an ice cooler, a kobold mans the Snack Bar, ready to faciliate thirst quenching and hunger crushing. Orders are complimentary, so eat and drink to your heart's content! The Snack Bar is now Level 2 - new menu items and slots unlocked!

  Today's Specials (09/04/21):

cabanossi pizza
butter chicken
garlic bread
red wine
dark carbonated beverage
Azure yips, "Oooh."
Azure yips, "It has my favorite."
Azure takes a large transparent drum and fills it with the Dark, Carbonated Beverage, holding it up in one hand and admiring it, as its light absorbing bulk fills the glass like shadow, seeming to squirm and writhe as bubbles form and escape from the carbonation.
Chevesh nods emphatically. "Me too." She gives Emma a squeeze, then pounces onto Niny and clings to her for a little bit while licking. Then she looks around for her next target... Patashu gets pounced next, with a wild hug and a purring nuzzle. Then Thea gets bounded onto, licked, and that ends with a cheeky nip and a rumble. Then she pounces onto Amy, and curls up around her to hug and purr. Azure gets one of their toes pounced onto and hugged. Dawnwing comes next, getting one of their heads tackled and licked on. Then she pauses, looking around... surely she hasn't forgotten anyone?
Patashu grins, and pulls Chevesh in for a hug and a cheek rub.
Patashu rumbles, "Thank you for letting all of us poke around inside of your extradimensional metal guts, Chevesh."
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! nuzzles Chevesh carefully, too.
Chevesh laughs. "I mean, when you put it like that, how could a girl refuse?"
Dawnwing yay snoot hugs!
Patashu wipes a tear. "Almost makes me want to get some of my own...!"
Azure yips, "I think Tyrian has a plan for something along those lines for you...."
Dawnwing says, "All I have are meat guts. But I have a lot of them."
Chevesh salutes, and peaces out through the portal to the pillow dimension.
Chevesh dives into the cushion pile, disappearing into hiding with a splash of upholstery!
Chevesh has left.
Among the Cushions, Chevesh has arrived.
Among the Cushions, Chevesh has disconnected.
Mecha Kon-Iro Kitsune!!! prowls over to the snack bar. Sniffsniffs at it. Gets a big plate and dumps a bucket of silverware onto it, then lies down, holding it between their forepaws and munching on the silverware.
Thea eeps slightly at the bounding onto, giggles at the slurp, and... ah, she flutters her wings, finding a seat. "Well, it's been a heck of a run."
Niny'ah stifles a snorting laugh at Kon-Iro
Thea looks to Mecha KonKon. "That reminds me. I still need to cook up some chow for the dragons. And you, some time."
