Purpose

Displays a list of news articles or details of a particular article.

Syntax

To display a list of all defined news topics:

•  news 

To display a specific news topic:

•  news <topic> 

Parameters

<topic>

• An article that contains information related to a particular subject.

Examples

Example 1

If Lepus wanted to review the current news topics, they would type:

•  news 

Lepus would see:

•                       SpinDizzy General News
  ================================================================
  
    AUP - SpinDizzy's acceptable use policy
  
    privacy - Explanation of the privacy policy
  
    legal - Our legal document.  You must read and agree to this.
  
    alts - SpinDizzy's alternate character (or 'alt') policy
  
    civics - Outlines the civic responsibilities for users and
          staff on the muck.
  
    behaviour - How the AUP relates to what is and is not
          acceptable behaviour.
  
    building - Some guideline on building areas on SpinDizzy.
  
  ================================================================

Example 2

If Alkani wanted to read the AUP article, he would type:

•  news AUP 

Alkani would see:

•                         SpinDizzy Acceptable Use Policy
