Patashu flies into the Rose Garden, a half-chewed sputnik in their jaws.

Patashu has arrived.

Vahno bounces off a rogue sputnik and into the Rose Garden.

'Vahno has arrived.

Voksa says, "Oh, right, candy bag. Uhh..."

Voksa looks around.

Voksa says, "Aha."

Mako rights. "Hands up who's coming? o.o

Voksa raises a paw!

Patashu hands up of course. :#

Niny'ah scrambles up on you.

Azure says, "I am!"

Ping waves to Azure.

Azure bows to Ping.

You say, "Coming, Ping?"

Ping tries to scramble up on you, but slips and falls off.

Ping squeaks, "Sure."

Ping squeaks, "Though I have to admit, I haven't made a costume. :/"

Voksa says, "I have just the thing. Hold this."

Niny'ah tucks Ping in her cleavage. "Mascot."

Voksa hands Ping the trackball from a mouse.

Ping giggles.

Niny'ah says, "Voksa that's genius"

Ping accepts the trackball, and climbs up onto Niny'ah.

Ping scrambles up on you.

You say, "Am I missing anyone?"

Maka is somehow already carrying a pouch. Where she got it from is debatable. It looks like it's made of physics-defying chocolate ganache, which is also debatable under the circumstances.

Mako shouts "Now departing! If you want to come along and miss the train, mjoin me!" (Public-shout)

Smol Coffee Shop [N10, W2](#14632RLJ)

The path weaves along, and there's a rusty coffee can directly adjacent. There's a small cardboard sign, weathered from the elements, carefully arranged atop the can that reads "Beverages of Dubious Providence: Coffee". This is above the slot cut out of the can, with a small shelf installed along the bottom edge. If you peer inside, you'll see a tiny collection of coffee making equipment and 1cm wide glass mugs.

Some short distance away from the path beyond the coffee can is what looks to be the intact remains of a stepdisc, flicking softly with some latent power. Further along is a small garden of coffee plants, neatly arranged in rows. Close attention may give notice to the tiny powered earthmoving equipment parked on the far side of the garden, sized as though to be toys.

To the other side of the path is a collection of broken furniture that looks to have been scavanged from the Patashu Industries dumpster, to include a pile of the beans from inside of bean bag chairs next to a pile of bean bag chairs. The tables are currently cable spools laid on their sides with cloths tossed across, chairs including several scorched ejection seats.

There is a small bell next to the coffee can with a sign, that reads "[Ring] bell for service."

The path continues off [N]orth, [E]ast, [W]est, and [S]outh. There are no obstructions to what lies [U]p above.

( The smol coffee shop appears to be closed for the evening, though there is a cardboard cutout of a house standing just off of the walkway. There is a slightly raised wooden platform standing the role of a porch, with a proper wooden door laid into a frame flush with the cardboard cutout. The porchlight is illuminated. )

Voksa says, "Oh! That's new."

Patashu hissmurmurs, "Aha! I have detected a haunted house."

Mako appears! along with a train of candy-seeking costumers! "Trick or Treat~

Niny'ah says, "Trick or treat~"

( There is no person visible; just the house with a porch light on. The house is a cardboard cutout mockup. )

Kandra will say she's just gone through the PI catalog and found a, like, dryad costume to borrow. Dress that gives a moderately credible appearace of being made of leaves, subtle greenish LED glow around the upper shoulders, crown of pastel yellow and gold flowers that light up in the presence of sunlight but not otherwise, etc. etc. etc. That said, she probably won't be doing much RP, if any. RP requires you to have emotional energy.

Skai oh? Hmm.

Patashu will approach the door and knock if there's no immediate response.

Tryptophan pulls out their camera to snap a photo.

( There is the sound of some shuffling from the other side of the door in response to the knocking. After a thump, the door creaks open into the house. Someone wearing a pug costume, with an oversized head, is holding a pizza box on the inside of the house stand-in. The giant googly eyes of the costume never seem to finish rattling, the pug breathing heavily as they lean forward slightly to greet the visitors. )

Niny'ah gives Kandra a thumbsup. sometimes you just need to Grab Something Premade

Athares ominously floats over the house! ... Well, only briefly ominously. Looks on one side, then hte other. Oh! Floats down towards the front. "Greetings!" It's hard to tell by most but he's quite amused.

Voksa says, "Happy halloween!"

( The pug does not respond, except by continuing to wheeze. )

Kandra trails after Niny'ah, tries to evade any photographers.

Ping shrugs to Kandra. She's just carrying a sphere from a trackball, which was just provided by Voksa a few moments ago. The quick costume of necessity.

Patashu hissmurmurs, "...Wheezy..."

Maka is caught by surprise by photography! She's never encountered it before.

( The googly eyes seem to look at Patashu for a brief moment, but resume rattling in a moment. No one has said the magic phrase, yet. )

Patashu oh, maybe we need to say it again? "Trick or treat~!"

( In reply to the visitors, the pug leans forward a tad more to hold the pizza box offeringly as it is opened. The pizza box is filled with full size candy bars. The pug continues to wheeze. )

( The candy bars are all generally chocolate themed, though about a quarter of them involve avocado, another quarter involve almonds, another quarter involve something refered to as 'pretzel-taffy', and a quarter involve whatever it is that marketing has determined to be 'Crackling Blue Mint'. )

Mako o.o The full size ones! Score! She will dutifully take one.

Mako... the mint one, specifically...

Maka tilts her head, watching reactions to see precisely what the appropriate response to this is.

Skai oooh! He leans in. "Nice." He gets a.. pretzel-taffy one.

Patashu ... cautiously takes the 'Crackling Blue Mint' candy bar and chomps it. owo

Voksa gasps! "Such generosity is only spoken of in legends..."

( The 'crackling blue mint' tastes like a mixture of tritium and spearmint, in a chocolate shell. )

Athares will choose one of the avocado ones, beaming it up into his hold. "Thank you, fellow traveler."

Niny'ah goes for a 'crackling blue mint' candy bar, mainly out of curiosity!

Patashu hissmurmurs, "Oh, I love this one. I need to remember this recipe."

Maka obtains mint, herself. This will be a night of experimentation.

( After some time of offering the full sized candy bars, the pug stands upright and closes the pizza box. They step back from the door, googly eyes still rattling as the door closes. The porch light turns off. )

Voksa perks ears! They throw a Crackling Blue Mint candy bar into their open furnace. All their burning plasma turns lavender-colored.

Patashu oh. owo! Spooky.

Vahno says, "Curious...."

Niny'ah says, "Ok, where to next, Mako?"

Maka declines to actually TASTE the candy. It goes right into the ganache pouch.

Mako unrolls a large scroll, the kind that looks like it's older than dirt. "Let's see.... first, we go this way, then we take a left at the tree of screaming skulls, and....

Prospect Cluster(#34104RJA)

Vines and roots overgrow the compartments and corridors of an ancient upper-atmosphere habitat. Centuries of maintenance and rebuilding mark the bulkheads: What was once spartan and utilitarian is now accomodating and historic. In the largest of several connected habitats, the floating forest converges on a single massive tree growing in a suspended park under hazy orange skylights. The transformed inhabitants, playing in the fairy-tale nightmare woods, gather and celebrate in the dark only faintly illuminated by glowing moss and fungus and plant tendrils.

Voksa says, "To the Halloween Portal!"

Voksa says, "...Oh, shoot. I put the Halloween Portal in the wrong place! It's through there to the City Center, my bad."

Voksa says, "But, welcome to Saturn!"

Patashu hissmurmurs, "Woah! Wild."

Voksa says, "It's not usually this woodsy. It's been done up for halloween."

Vahno says, "Heheh. Nice."

Patashu hissmurmurs, "I like it."

Voksa says, "Traditions have gotten a bit strange, here. When creatures started living for centuries, they began to use halloween as an opportunity to try being different things, to avoid getting too stuck in their ways."

Maka just looks around. "...World de-scorching plants?"

Patashu approves, naturally!

Athares floats around, acting particularly buoyant. "A cloud habitat. This is the first one I've seen, thank you for bringing us here."

Skai oh! Very neat.

[OOC] Voksa says, "Mako, we should take the 'City Center' exit, I accidentally set up halloweenthings there instead of here :B"

You leave for Sigillaria City Center.

Sigillaria City Center

Crystalline metropolis unfolds in blue and yellow and shattered reflections under the forever-cloudy sky. The bulk of the city center is housed in one large structure- The 'hub', with Sigillaria's space elevator reaching into space from its center. With most port and processing facilities on the top-side station, its footprint in the city more resembles a passenger train station.

The place has been transformed for halloween! Stacked buildings and walkways are coated in imitation diamond, topaz, and sapphire. Some of it looks icy, but it more resembles a strange magical castle. Structural columns grow into faceted turrets and balusters, mineral stalactites hang from paths and balconies, and every footstep rings like a crystal bell.

It's busy in most of the city, with creatures warped and wild trying on new shapes for halloween. The holiday is different, here- Most costumes go much deeper than the surface.

A plastic dish painted and airbrushed with uneven terrain and craters to look like a slice of moon. It's full of exotic and colorful candy from faraway worlds! You can 'take candy'.

Azure eats a cube of acerbic taffy. Their breath turns relentlessly minty.

Look at scale> A clear-and-green crystal scale, holding up bowls of white and orange candy. The orange bowl hangs lower. A sign reads 'TAKE ONLY ONE'.

You can 'take acerbic taffy' from the white bowl or 'take hearth taffy' from the orange bowl.

You get a cube of yellow-orange taffy. It seems to glow warmly from within.

Vahno says, "Curious..."

Skai says, "Keep them balanced!"

[OOC] Voksa says, "The message that displays when someone else takes a candy apparently broke. Oops."

( Somewhere in the background, a black cat flickers as they walk halfway through a table. Other halloweengoers try not to stare. )

Maka gives a nod toward Aarora, considerably more chocolate than perhaps is normal.

Voksa says, "Thank you all for coming to visit my close-to-home."

Voksa says, "Oh, good. It's prettier when it's not covered entirely in leaves."

Athares turns to Voksa (though it's hard to tell). "I am curious. You say it's close to home, but I thought you were from another universe?"

Voksa says, "This is the other universe. Portal transport provided by QDoT."

Patashu hissmurmurs, "There's Manyearths, and so I assume Manysaturns to go with."

Athares says, "I thought Saturn was- well, I'll look into it later. Thank you!""

Maka says, "...We went to another... universe..."

Maka says, "...Just like that?"

You say, "For candy!"

Voksa says, "Or possibly just an isolated part of the same universe!"

Patashu hissmurmurs, "Yes, it was important. :3"

Voksa says, "That's the power of halloween spirit."

Niny'ah says, "Maka, stable portals can be made, you just have to know exactly how to aim them"

Maka says, "Interesting..."

Niny'ah says, "which is itself many years of academic study, as I understand"

Maka chintaps. "And all that without magic?"

Mako gets out the Big Red Button. "Right, I think next we have...." She slams the button, causing an Ejection into the next venue!

Junkyard

A paved trail leads up to the open, towering fenced gate surrounding the Junkyard. It's not barbed or electrified - it's just a way to delineate outside and inside. And what's inside past the checkpoint is hills and mountains of scrap and salvage - metallic, electronic and plastic, sourced from vehicles, androids, servitors, battlemechs and gadgets alike, some of it recognizable, much of it just endless debris that's outlived its original purpose.

Pathways between piles are large enough to roll a vehicle through - and for those who like to see inanimate metallic carnage in action, there's an electromagnet crane, car compactor, shredder and induction furnace incinerator distributed throughout, used whenever there's a need to make more space. Security cameras mounted on poles with charging ports are spaced regularly.

A special protocol is followed whenever decommissioned robots are added to the Junkyard - they're scanned for any mind they still possess, and when found, uploaded to The Incubator and wiped from the device, to ensure that their body can be laid to rest, and their mind has a second chance at life should they want it. However, you might notice makeshift shacks and encampments as you explore - for sure enough, voluntary junkbots find this place to be their home, living their lives peacefully amongst a wealth of components they can use to repair and maintain themselves with, in a range of animalistic forms. They're well explored in the Junkyard, know what's where and can eagerly help you out, especially if you can source them a part they're looking for.

( As you enter the Junkyard, you spy Enixi the moogle, technomagistaff in hand, with a smug and confident grin, standing atop a pile of junk with the Inexplicable Candy Orb floating beside him. "Ehehe~ You fell for my trap, kupo! The ritual is ready, and you've all been lured by the promise of candy straight into it!" Ritual...? You look down and notice the runecircles etched into the ground that at Enixi's channeling glow BRIGHTLY yellow. Uh oh. All around you, junk piles stir, as various discarded 'bots, some freshly thrown out, others old and barely holding together at all, rattle and shamble and dig their way out of their 'graves'! Kobold 'bots in various states of disrepair teem, a shambling dragon 'bot here, a snarly, shuddering wolf 'bot there... reanimated and dancing to Enixi's spell! )

Voksa sings, ♪ There's no problem not solved by the twist of a knob, no panic not managed by some complex mechanics ♪

Voksa says, "Woahh."

Skai gasps. "Zombie bots!"

Athares floats up a bit, surveying around to see what these zombots are doing.

( It looks like they're converging to form a circle around the trick or treaters and standin there... menacingly! With the occasional pop, spark or twitch from an electronic component feeling current surge through it once more, while Enixi stands on the junk hill top smugly! Shouldn't be TOO hard to get your candy if he's drawing things out for dramatic flair like this... )

You say, "Zombots!"

Athares can use his beam to take two!

( Enixi gawks, as the kobold bot just rattle-shudders and looks at its Rainbow Choco Pudding with interest. Enixi thrusts his magistaff with a huff! "Don't just stand there and accept a gift...! S-stop them!" To little avail, it might seem. Especially if you give some more bribes. :3 There's enough for everyone! )

Maka is, fortunately, incredibly speedy when she needs to be! It's hard to say exactly when she grabbed the candy, but the first indication is her depositing it in the ganache pouch.

look candy orb> This translucent, bubble-like orb floats in mid air with no seeming force holding it in place. Inside of it, candy swirls - its surface offers a little resistance but not enough to keep your greedy hands out - 'stealtreat' to grab one.

Voksa's visor flares up, they roar like a rocket launch! Their voice changes from high and chiming to a dreadfully grating military synthesizer. "COUNTERFIRE SPELLDRIVERS CHARGED. SOUL-STEALER PRECEPTS ENABLED. RETURN TO THE VOID." They... Soar sideways and crash through the candy orb.

Mako sticks to the shadows, sneaking up to the orb. She's perfectly stealthy, except for the xyolophone noises when she tiptoes

Vahno scrambles up the hill, right towards Enixi!

Enixi seems to have given up on the idea of stopping folks from just climbing up and taking candy by any means they please. =w= "Next time I'm doing a dress rehearsal the night before to make sure they're obedient, kupo..." And then oh no here comes Vahno-

Athares starts redirecting whatever candy Voksa scatters to the zombots. "Even the dead deserve a treat once in a while."

Aarora isn't sure himself when exactly he got a pudding, but he looks down at it with an expression closer to insulted than excited. He mumbles something about chocolate and tucks it into a bandolier's pouch.

( Sitch for Rielle: Enixi tried to summon a bunch of zombie junkbots to stop folks from taking the candy! They ended up being pretty docile, and now Vahno's sitting on Enixi. )

Voksa shakes their head clear and unruffles themself. "Ahem. Yes."

[OOC] Mako says, "Next up we will be hitting up one or two unmanned stations people set up because they couldn't be here. :x"

Rielle glances left and right. "So how's the trick or treating been so far? I'd have been here earlier, but my Amiga spontaneously came to life and decided it was time to make a mess of MY workbench. Mad Scientiki Lounge

Unlike the cold, dry mountain outside, this tiki bar is hot, humid, and tropical. Like most tiki lounges, the room is fairly dark, with a reddish cast to it; a few eerily-phosphorescent globes of various colors are suspended from the ceiling, and there are a few decorative torches made from Bunsen burners mounted to the walls on regularly-spaced wooden columns. Tiki masks and other such tchotchkes hang on the wall with a feeling of precise randomness. Behind the bar are multiple shelves containing a plethora of bottles interspersed with tropical souvenirs and knickknacks. The cabinets to the side and below are filled with laboratory equipment and glassware, some of which isn't easily-recognizable. The bar itself is made from a slab of polished mountain rock, with the sides covered in bamboo. To the left of the bar is a pool filled with clean, sparkling, slightly-steamy water. Glass walls extend a meter above floor level, and the bar hangs over this somewhat. A wide ledge with seating surrounds the pool, and lights set below the pool's surface cast a shimmering glow everywhere. Opposite the pool is a small raised stage, complete with microphones, instrument hookups, and a small audio rack. A small holographic projector displays tropically-themed visuals, but can be used for karaoke lyrics and video or other purposes as needed. The remainder of the room is occupied with seating - booths with red leather seats around the edges, and round beach tables in the middle of the room. The door to the outside is designed like a temple entrance, made of rough-cut stone and surrounded with tiki masks and bamboo framing. On either side of the door are 6-foot-tall Moai heads, which blow a burst of brightly-lit "fire" from their mouths whenever the door is opened.

Off-Brand Candy Shop

The Off-Brand Candy Shop is scaled to the four-foot-high anthro: the ceiling is just close enough adult humans may feel compelled to duck. A pair of ceiling fans twist indifferently. The walls and ceiling are a lemon-yellow, with white paneling about two feet high running around the base. The floor is a checkerboard black and white tile. A closed door leads to the back office; an open arch leads to the Mixing Room. The floor behind the counter is elevated, and a thin bench about two feet high gives the larger nonanthros the chance to hop up to it. The 'counter' rather narrow for the jars and boxes resting on it and offering the current selection of candies. Cutout cardboard raccoon skeletons, from cute nose to drawn-out tail, decorate the walls. Synthetic cobwebs droop down from the fans, at the risk of brushing human-sized anthros on the shoulder or head. Fake eggs, some with plastic yolks leaking out, are spread across the counter; at least one's being held by a squeak-toy chipmunk.

Bates Motel

This is a motel of yesteryear, bypassed by the new highway and left to keep its own company. A tall neon sign reads "BATES MOTEL -- Vacancy" and is otherwise unadorned. The motel is L-shaped, bracketing a dusty parking lot. Rows of little cabins are sided with rustic, dark-stained wood. Each has its own door, marked with a brass number, 1 through 12. Curtains are drawn inside all the windows. A covered porch, slightly elevated, runs the length of the motel, and hosts a series of plain, empty chairs, one outside each room. At one end of the motel, a small sign indicates the office. Its door is open, as is the door of the cabin closest to it. Between them, someone has leaned a dirty mop. Past the office, a meandering stone stairway continues up a hill. At the top, a Gothic style house stands askew, keeping watch over the motel. A light is on in an upstairs window, perhaps a bedroom. On the chair closest to the office, there is a small tray of white paper bags, each one reading "Kandy Korn." There is also a note. (You should 'look note').

The temple grounds are ruined, a wide swathe of glassed earth and jagged stone pavement. Wooden pillars stand, some straight up, some at angles, sticking out the ground at awkward angles as if they had been driven in by great force. Red and white Paper lanterns dangle from these on fine chains, casting a flickering red light over the area.

The sky is a dark grey, with a sickly green light somewhere over the horizon, like a dawn that isn't coming. Overhead, clouds churn in a slow circular formation, with a hole in the center leading up into a pitch-black sky...

Stepping into this forest is like being immersed in deep foilage, trees surrounding all of you - yet with the soundscape and particulars of an industrial landscape. Everything is artificial, in a harsh, metallic, unrepentant kind of way - trees tower over you made of concrete and steel, towering braching poles sprawling out into solar panels and electronics equipment, and cables string from planet to plant overhead to criss-cross the canopy. If it's late at night, then blinkenlights and indicator signals pin-prick your surroundings in a mix of faint greens, reds and ambers. The sounds of electric motors, fans, engines and generators thrummmmm all around you - and the rustling, clicking, trotting of mechanical fauna big, small, flying and crawling and skulking can be heard all around you - and there's clear evidence of trails, nests, even trapdoors and crawlways should you know what to look for. A stream of rushing water (or coolant?) leads you to a clearing in the forest's center, where an artificial great oak is lined with computronium interfaces and displays on its eight flat sides. This seems like it'd be a perfect place to bushwalk in, if you have an affinity for mechanical flora and fauna - either to explore your surroundings, or perhaps to enjoy the wilderness as an artificial lifeform yourself.

Notably, there's an ironwood shack with bodies you can temporarily use to experience the forest in a different medium - 'look synthbodies' to learn more.

( Tonight, the forest is far darker than normal, with many of the blinkenlights and indicator signals gone. Instead, a number of trees have been strung with lights, spooky bats and pumpkins glowing orange in the darkness. The majority of these lights, along with several torches and candles have been strung about a makeshift pavilion, complete with plastic jack-o-lanterns, hanging paper decorations and even a Big Bowl Of Candy! )

Patashu hissmurmurs, "Aha! Halloween detected."

Niny'ah says, "Ah, Traditional"

( A kobold with a pumpkin on its head waves to the group. "Hello! We just finished setting up!" )

( Well, whoever took the candy didn't take all of it. There's a piece on the ground! ...and other over there! And ano-that's a shiny nut. But next to it is a piece of candy! A trail leading off into the forest, towards a hill! )

Voksa perks up! "A clue!"

Patashu hissmurmurs, "Aha! Conveniently sloppy. Classic candy theft stuff."

Mako is now behind Pata again. With a large magnifying glass. "Right then!"

Patashu continues following the trail until he *bonks* into the hill. "Ow. The trail's gone cold..." He stares at the hill. Hmm. Unless?

Skai follows right along!

Maka just... rolls with it. She gets the feeling that theatrics are part of this experience.

Niny'ah tries REALLY hard not to giggle at Mako but Fails Miserably

Athares eventually- ends up back where he started. Right! ... Ends up spotlighting the trail and the hill. Turns the spotlight to Mako. "Can you draw a door in this picture?"

Voksa scurries along the trail!

( The trail leads up to a rather steep and mossy section of the hill. ...does moss normally move? )

Mako gets out a marker. "I can!" Squeeksqueeksqueek. The door looks like a five year old drew it. "... should it be doing that?"

Voksa hmms. They gently headbutt moss.

Patashu squints. "... I have applied my powers of observation. This hill is not solid everywhere.

Athares ohs, the hill -isn't- a wall. Well he'll check the door Mako made anyway before shining the beam uphill.

( Attempting to draw on the moss reveals that it... gets easily pushed in. And it's also kinda clothy. )

Voksa says, "Oh! It's one of those hippie bead doors."

Patashu hissmurmurs, "Shall we take a look inside then?"

Mako pokes her head in. "We ready to take a look?

Cyber Werewolf Den

Approaching the hill in the Industrial Cyber Forest and peeking through a curtain of what you thought was hanging moss but actually felt more like metallic streamers, you venture into this rough hewn cave to discover that... it's actually quite well lit! Cyber werewuffs of chrome, plastic, dursteel and flexisteel lounge around in a conversation pit in front of a wide screen TV showing mecha-nature documentaries. Bone-and-full-moon carpeting has been installed over flattened flooring, and there's even ironwood stairs that leads to an open air second floor at the far back, featuring a kitchen where cybermeat meals are cooked and ingredients stored in cabinets, fridges stocked full of coolant and oil. Downstairs is a tinkering engineering bay and a bunch of plush round sleeping beds and computer stations - no walls between different rooms, just suggestions where the flooring abruptly changes to more appropriate vinyl materials. Plenty of cyberwuffs are content to make this their cuddly, relaxing home - and if you ask politely, you can join them!

Athares will probably end up having to turn sideways to fit through, but shall!

Patashu blinks! Holds up a 'shhh' finger, and then starts creeping betwixt wolves...

Niny'ah murmurs, "Maka, I think this is your specialty."

Athares has the benefit of floating. And the handicap of making whirring noises. Politely stays back for now.

Patashu, on second thought, is not a Paragon of Stealth if anyone else wants to take point...

Maka simply nods to Niny'ah. "Well, then..."

Voksa glows like a second sun. Er, right, spindizzy. A FIRST sun. They cannot help here.

Maka crouches down for a second, spreads out her wings, and...

Aarora mouths 'I got this' which means nothing on a beak.. He reaches for a vial on his bandolier and.. it's empty! He mouths 'I do not got this'

Athares joins Voksa in the 'too obvious' club, by settling down on Voksa's head if Voksa permits, something like a giant silvery sombrero.

Maka is a shadowy blur darting through the air across the cave! It's not unlike the effect the thief manifested when the candy was taken.

Patashu woah!

Niny'ah mmmNice

( Wow! Yeah, there's really no chance to mess up with an actual well trained Ninja on the job. Maka reaches the bowl quite easily! )

Maka lands at the far side. ...As a devil's food wolf, apparently. Maybe she disguised herself in transit somehow.

Maka eyes the candy. She suspects a trap, but in the interest of theatrics...

Maka procures the taken snacks!

( There is a quiet, but polite cough from behind the group. )

Aarora goes 'Shh' and doesn't turn around.

( The cough is coming from... a werewolf! A very awake werewolf. ...Holding a balloon in one hand. And a very large pin in the other. )

Voksa puts a cork on the tip of the pin. Thumbs-up.

Maka's now-lupine ears (and tail) droop. She hasn't seen many balloons, but she knows a conscious sentry when she sees one.

( The werewolf shrugs, then flicks the pin aside, before taking the balloon in both hands and biting down on. BANG! )

Voksa cackles!

( Not even a stir. )

Maka scrambles! It's less impressive without wings, but then comes the EXTREMELY unanticipated bang in mid-dash!

Skai pins his ears.. and blinks!

Aarora ack!s and turns around then ack!s again.

Niny'ah looks around at the still-asleep Wolfs Den. "CLose but no cigar."

Patashu hissmurmurs, "Hah! Too sleepy even for a pop~"

Athares floats gradually over to the awake werewolf. Uses the force-beam to patpat them on the head. Speaks with reduced volume, "We'll share."

Maka vaults a sleeping wolf on her way back, and... now finds herself confronted by a single-but-awake werewolf.

( And at Pata's exclamation, there is now very many awake wolves, sitting up and hopping onto paws and STARING at the group. )

Patashu hissmurmurs, "... Oops =w="

Durga arrives from Industrial Cyber Forest.

Durga has arrived.

Niny'ah facepalms.

Durga leans in! aaa- ♪ wooooooooo! ♪

Patashu hissmurmurs, "...Time to go!"

Skai nods. "Very much so."

Voksa says, "But they're so cute!"

Vahno cackles and tosses the balloon bits aside. "Awooooooo! Werewolves only I'm afraid!"

Athares looks around at the crowd of wolves. "Greetings." Entirely unfazed by the sound of it. "Anyone want to play frisbee?" He floats about.

Mako is gone. Just a platypus-shaped outline remains. o.o

( One of the wolves in the group holds up a wolfy hoody, complete with ears and tail. )

Niny'ah asides to Mako-not-there, "What, no Chorus Line Exit?"

Patashu hissmurmurs, "Oh don't you *dare*..."

Voksa snickers.

Maka instinctively makes a break for it!

Athares cannot be equipped with a hoodie in this form, and also happens to make a good door blocker. And so, could cover the others' escape!

Niny'ah throws a ... it seems like it *should* be a smokebomb, but it instead generates hellucinations of Ear Scritches

Aarora eeps and panic downs an invisibility potion. A rippling shimmer covers his form and leaves nothing as it resolves.

Voksa cackles and sits up, arms outstretched!

Vahno raaaawrs and grawrs and paws and nips at anyone trying to slip past him! The others are quick after and- Oooh, Ear Scritches! SOME of the others are quick after the group!

Mako leeans in from the other side of the panel of Niny. "No, I can't carry a tune." She does, however, contribute to the chaos. By throwing a large bone ---> that a way when she leaves.

Niny'ah Exit, stage left!

Voksa perks up, goes back to all fours, and play-bows to Vahno.

Nova has teleported in.

Nova has arrived.

( GASP! BONE! Yeah, that gets a lot of attention! And causes a bit of a werewolf pile up as wolves either try to swipe the bone from someone else, or try to climb over the others to continue the chase. )

Voksa gently headbutts Vahno and triumphantly struts off to challenge other werewolves. They have mastered lupine communication.

Maka didn't anticipate anyone going native, exactly. She's only disguised as another wolf! She'll take whatever distractions she can get, though.

( And Voksa is brutally bepounced by the werewolves, being (gently) bit here and licked there. And one even tries to slip a werewolf hoodie over Voksa's head. )

Voksa cackles and topples over under the adorable assault! They disappear under werewolves, then eventually stick their head back up with a hood over their nosecone.

Voksa is, at least, a good distraction.

Aarora's talons can be heard click-clacking as he patters over. A kat-kat shimmers out of the bowl, shortly followed by "Chocolate? Why is is all chocolaaaate!!"

Patashu hissmurmurs, "A good reprise of a familiar theme, nice work Vahno."

Voksa says, "Oh no. Not a fan of chocolate?"

Niny'ah pats where she thinks Aarora's shoulder is. Knows That Feeling.

Athares at this point forcebeam-patpats on Vahno. "That was a good way to conclude this, thank you."

-     This is a motel of yesteryear, bypassed by the new highway and left to keep its own company.  A tall neon sign reads "BATES MOTEL -- Vacancy" and is otherwise unadorned.  The motel is L-shaped, bracketing a dusty parking lot.  Rows of little cabins are sided with rustic, dark-stained wood.  Each has its own door, marked with a brass number, 1 through 12.  Curtains are drawn inside all the windows.  A covered porch, slightly elevated, runs the length of the motel, and hosts a series of plain, empty chairs, one outside each room.
     At one end of the motel, a small sign indicates the office.  Its door is open, as is the door of the cabin closest to it.  Between them, someone has leaned a dirty mop.

The motel is L-shaped, bracketing a dusty parking lot.  Rows of little cabins are sided with rustic, dark-stained wood.  Each has its own door, marked with a brass number, 1 through 12.  Curtains are drawn inside all the windows.  A covered porch, slightly elevated, runs the length of the motel, and hosts a series of plain, empty chairs, one outside each room. At one end of the motel, a small sign indicates the office.  Its door is open, as is the door of the cabin closest to it.  Between them, someone has leaned a dirty mop. Past the office, a meandering stone stairway continues up a hill.  At the top, a Gothic style house stands askew, keeping watch over the motel.  A light is on in an upstairs window, perhaps a bedroom. On the chair closest to the office, there is a small tray of white paper bags, each one reading "Kandy Korn."  There is also a note.
