     City Hall is a transparent, slightly dome wide-set at its base, with the swirling patterns of half-started spectrums swirling around the flimsy shell.  The shell itself seems almost to breathe, as it flexes in the breeze and the changes of the people around it.  A copper arch marks the most fixed spot and the easiest entrance to the hall.
     
     Around the globe a sparkling array of smaller globes cling to the exterior, each an office or a room or department, and these rooms swirl around as if to off-vertical ferrous wheels on a structure imitating a soap bubble.
     
     The park outside City Hall softly rises and falls, with spots of leaves and flowers of all colors popping into and out of being easily, and more rarely but still sometimes shrubs or bushes or even the odd tree makes it appearance, or exit, quietly but ever changing the light of the center.
        A few clouds have returned, low in the sky.  Seeming placed there to give colour to the retreating light.  It's still too bright to be evening, making it about 5:00 PM.

Athares catches Vahno! Smiles a bit, gently sets Vahno down, quietly tells Vahno to hold off 'till after, then has a seat himself.

Mako oh dear. We don't need a footstool?

Chitter says, "Maybe I needed to leave the stepstool?  I can put it back."
Mitsuki sits up and holds the microphone. "I got it! Ahem. You creatures have been good friends for a long time now. I haven't really been up for much roleplaying lately (sorry about all the holidays I missed), but I am honored to be here among you. I'm sure Tss'Renia will do a good job!"
Patashu claps for Mitsuki!
You rumble, "IRL matters aside, I do consider your type to be a good representative of Spindizzyness. :3"

Mitsuki hastily rights the mic stand.
Samnang watches, listens while gathering Austin up in his arms to hold against his chest, stroking along the coati's head and back like he's contemplating blowfeld level thoughts.
,Kandra flinches, covering her ears at the amplified thud.
BunnyHugger applauds.  Chitter moves the stepstool back for her and she climbs it to speak into the microphone.  "Please join me in thanking Mayor Mitsuki for her service to the citizens of SpinDizzy!"  She applauds again (not right into the microphone, she knows better).
Beltrami grins clapping!

Jill-Annie smiles thinly, and golf-claps.

BunnyHugger adjusts her ribbon a little nervously.
BunnyHugger says, "Now we will swear in Mayor-Elect Tss'Renia, followed by Vice-Mayor Patashu.  If you could both come here, I'll administer the Oath of Office!"

Tss'Renia steps up the stage carefully, hoping it is solid enough for two iron beasts.
BunnyHugger turns to Tss'Renia first.
BunnyHugger says, "Do you, Tss'Renia, affirm that you will serve the interests of the people of SpinDizzy as their duly elected representative, and perform the duties of the office of Mayor to the best of your ability?"
Tss'Renia nods, "Yes, I do affirm."
Lightspill claps for Good Goernance
BunnyHugger smiles and turns to Patashu.
BunnyHugger says, "Do you, Patashu, affirm that you will continue to serve the interests of the people of SpinDizzy as their duly elected representative, and perform the duties of the office of Mayor should the office be vacated before the end of Mayor Tss'Renia's term?"
Patashu grins at 'continue.' I do!
Patashu "I do!" to be clear.
BunnyHugger says, "Then congratulations, Tss'Renia and Patashu, and I wish you a happy, successful, and prosperous term!  I will now ask Mitsuki to present Mayor Tss'Renia with the tokens of office."

BunnyHugger says, "A lot of folks think the hat is the official token of the Mayor's office, but that is only a custom that has attached to it.  Originally there was a ceremonial sash, which got lost at some point over the years - perhaps sometime the Mayor's Office will decide to commission a new one. Someone presented the hat as a gift to Beltrami early in her term thinking the Mayor ought to get to wear a special hat, and as she was the first Mayor, it stuck around as a tradition."
BunnyHugger says, "The actual, most official token of office is the Mayor's Cachet.  It is both the ceremonial symbol of the office and its seal.  Use it well!"

Featherwing remembers seeing those scissors the last time we did a World Fair, which I still have a portal to my pavillion set in my apartment...
BunnyHugger says, "And ... I recommend against running with the scissors."

BunnyHugger says, "Our next order of business is for the new administration to give us their first speeches of office.  Or at least of this term, since Patashu is being re-elected.  We always start with the Vice Mayor so I will cede the microphone to Vice Mayor Patashu."

You rumble, "I am honored to be able to serve alongside Tss'Renia to be an advocate for Spindizzy, Spindizzians and our culture - where you're free to become what you wish to be most and to be surrounded by friends and peers adventuring and socializing together with you. Tss'Renia serves as a shiny, metallic demonstration of this philosophy! Spindizzy is a place of creation, play and belonging and I hope to see this tradition continue this year."

Chitter pushes the stepstool back and BunnyHugger climbs up for a brief moment.  "I will now invite Mayor Tss'Renia to give the Inaugural Address!"

Parka+ nods. "I'm basically an example of becoming what I wish to be! ... well, sort of. The coalition that helped me isn't Spin-centric. .... .... I've still been staying here long enough, buzz off."

Tss'Renia approaches the microphone, opens its debug panel to fetch from it a piece of paper. It unfolds the paper many times while the debug panel closes. "Oh, it is blank. Right. This is just a prop, because I am a computer on paws. Ahem. This message is for creatures of all kinds. ... Keep SpinDizzy weird!" It steps away from the microphone.
Patashu grins! Applauds
Beltrami earflutters and smiles.
